yunplusjae 168
This word seem to be as overused by k-netizens as overrated/relevant/butthurt are used in the forums. There is a boundary between a PS intervention and a plastic monster? Or does any minor PS is automatically considered Plastic Monster?I don't know how to feel about it, since it's the product of their own idea of ideal beauty that pushes people to seek those kinds of interventions. These people may be having a distorted perception of themselves and have a expectation that a physical change could promote all the desired changes in their lives, since all beauties are reverenced by the public opinion... but when they realize it isn't "real" the haterade starts. What to do then: be called "ugly" by the standards or be called "pretty and fake"? It really seems like a dead end.

denizen mars 5,911
I think plastic surgery is only ever a problem if a person cannot be happy with themselves no matter what changes they make....or when it threatens someone's health (disreputable breast implants, for example). This focus on 'real' versus 'plastic' beauty is making a private decision/problem public, and that really rubs me the wrong way. The worst of it is...this is primary focused on female celebrities...there's this idea that because you're a woman your body is public property, and that's really fucked up. Rinne 11,705
Plastic monster is a hyperbole towards an individual that keep on using cosmetic surgery as a method to enhance his/her appearances You wouldn't be call as "ugly" or "fake" if you aren't a public figure Even if it does, you wouldn't even bother We can't hide from others perceptions and thoughts
Jeffrey Jung 19,680
Basically these words were overly used by most female k-netizens when certain extremely beautiful celebs do something wrong ex: Park Si Yeon's Propofol abuse suspicion or something like random accusation of PS
