[AKP] Jessica talks about the difficulties of going from 9 to 1 + her 'Ice Princess' nickname

In an interview with Sports Donga, Jessica talked about becoming a solo artist after being a part of a 9-member group.


 


It proved to be, understandably, quite difficult, as she relayed, "The hardest thing was that I had to do everything.  In the past, even when doing interviews, we were able to allocate parts.  But now, I have to pay heed to everything from one to ten, which I'm a bit unfamiliar with.   On the other hand, the good thing about it is that the work goes along well.  All of the staff members respect my thoughts and color, so I think that they remain intact in the final results of the work."


 


 


 


 


She also talked about her former nickname 'Ice Princess,' because she seems to have changed a lot since.  Jessica stated, "I think 'Ice Princess' comes from how I look. Anyway, even an 'Ice Princess' is a princess," and laughed.  She continued, "To tell the truth, it ended up being a nickname that didn't stick easily to other people.  In contrast to the past, I think people have become open-minded now.  Because of course I would show my natural self after activating SNS accounts.  It appears that now the time has come for me to show my natural self."


 


In conclusion, Jessica said, "The first chapter of my life was my school period, the second chapter was my training period, which was too long.  My time as only a trainee was seven years.  Chapter three was myself after a flashy debut, and chapter four will become my promotions as a solo singer.  I'd rather hear that this is something expected from Jessica than I didn't put in effort.  Even when I get older and look back at the present, I want to remember myself as the cool woman Jessica."

Sica has the right to talk about Snsd. It's a part important of her life and will forever be.

And a lot of sones support her solo career 

all I've seen on twitter is sones that are pissed?

Yes, I am a sone and I saw a lot of people supporting her.

I think most of ot9 fans stay out of fanwars because it get tiring rapidly

I think many sones have turned their back against Jessica this time though. Every sone I follow is basically against her. I am glad some stay out of it.

some people probably just can't stand she didn't fail like they wished her to (and gives interviews about her past)

Not really, I used to go on the SNSD confessions blog on Tumblr, but left because of the negativity I assume its probably similar.

interviewers always ask the ones that left about their former groups, it has been like this since 19XX. 

 

does sica like or not her nickname 'ice princess'? She seemed comfortable  when people from the Chinese program called her this way. 

 

 

 

 

yeah it would hard for her to break that shell, but i am glad she is being more open and free with herself
