Do you think Korean and Japanese TV will allow to create a show like Kang Xi Lai Le?

Pretty much the most scandalous talk show lmao. Barely any celebrity, foreign/local, A-listers, rookies or little-known ones finish filming the show unscathed lol. Xiao S manages to squeeze the juiciest infos out of anyone and she isn't afraid to cite scandalous issues. But the show is so widely watched and the hosts are A-list celebs so celebrities still go on it.

 

Was thinking Korean and Japanese TV might benefit from something like this which would be pretty groundbreaking...

 

Like seriously in the first five minutes of this episode of Kang Xi, Xiao S cajoles Show Luo to tell her who was the celebrity who caused him and Rainie Yang to hate each other for years.

KXLL is different. It's an unscripted talk show wherein celebrities never know what kind of questions will be brought out by the hosts or what issues will be tackled about their personal lives. 

 

Japan has wild dokkiri stuff but their celebrity talk shows are very tame and provides almost zero insight about the personal side of celebs aside from their hobbies, their favorite food and what places they like traveling to lmao.

Yeah it's a pretty ruthless + taboo show lol. She's very direct and does not give af. 

 

I remember when she caressed UNIQ's Sungjoo's nipples and said "kamsahamida".

There was also a time when WG went on and she asked them when their first time was. WG's mouths literally dropped. 

 

 

I think this show would do well in Korea (ratings-wise), because as proper as most Koreans want to seem, people always love the juicy gossip and fuckery. I can see Knetizens bitching about it online but the ratings will still go through the roof lol

What I said in another thread: when celebrities get into scandals and then guest on kangxi, you knew they would get grilled and forced to give up some juicy details! That ep that Show and Rainie went on after their separate dating scandals came out in 2015 was so entertaining! They were literally squirming. Also, they had those episodes specifically for trading insider gossip, plus that little black notebook with all the names and only Xiao S could look.

 

I feel like Korea is more about maintaining images, celebs get labelled unprofessional when they let their private lives slip into the public eye. A show like kangxi would get awesome ratings, but all the gossip would probably bring the celebs a lot of hate. Then again, it'd only get high ratings if the gossip was good. And the top celebs wouldn't agree to go on the show. So then...yeah it might not work out.

 

But if they ever did, they'd REALLY need to tone down some of the episode topics and interview questions. I'd love to see this happen though, it's really fun to know celebs' dating history and their drama.

Tbh, even if Korea and Japan can have show like this, they cannot beat Xiao S and Show Luo's tandem. They are so great in that show especially Show Luo. I love that he is an idol yet he is not so conscious of his image despite Taiwanese paparazzis are sooo stalkerish(like Dispatch). He makes me laugh a lot when I watch Go Fighting(Bless that Yixing and Xiao Zhu met in that show!).

 

And if ever Korea will make a show like this, it will be such a mess. You know how judgemental Knetz are.

Oh... That one. Well, there was already rumors before that he has family(with marriage contract seen by a ChunElla or Chun fan). I thought it wasn't true but oh well. He is old enough to have family already.

This type of exchange would never happen on Korean broadcast where you know Show and Makiyo used to date, Blackie and Barbie used to date but remained really good friends then he started dating Christine, another of their mutual really good friends.

Yeah, I think it was way back when they were still in high school.

starts @21:23 Fan Fan tells the story of how before they started dating, there was one time that Heiren brought Barbie along to pick her up from the airport so that he could get her opinion of Fan Fan.

 

 

I think she really did date Blue Lan, also Vic Zhou, and some Korean singer. Sometimes it's hard to keep straight what's confirmed and what's rumored though because they joke and hint so much without making official statements.
