Is Cube trying to make Seunghee leave CLC?

The new leader is Seungyeon, she's not new.

Oh I see, wouldn't that raise more questions since isn't seungyeon the oldest and in Korea the oldest usually get the role? I don't know their group dynamic but from what I've observed from most kpop groups the leaders don't make the final decisions, their company does.

Maybe cube is going image wise? Cause with 4minute nobody (unless fans) first think Jihyun is the leader, they either think its Jiyoon or Hyuna.

ok but...dont lose too much sleep over it

first about the leader, they have post on their fancafe about it

this is what Seunghee says

CdAvuygVIAA1DZs.jpg

she said she felt burdened and she will still be helping as an leader-esque role in a way as oldest unnie, helping seungyeon, but SY now takes on role/title of leader as SH did said she did felt burdened. as her fan we shouldn't feel bad for her or complain but happy she presumably not feel burdened any longer

and about her singing/lines...Seunghee still sings alot...

half the chorus (other half is Elkie) and most the bridge (beginning of bridge is mislabeled as SY b/c of mv lipsync, but if you watch showcase...)

Edit: Elkie does that aniya highnote at end of bridge, but Seunghee does adlibs after. its fine

she's fine. Elkie is good singer so I dont think anyone should have problem with her singing plenty

If you, you know, actually pay attention to the group, you'd notice that Seungyeon fits being the leader a lot more than Seunghee ever did and that's why they made the change. Considering how reserved and quiet Seunghee is, I wouldn't be surprised if she made the suggestion in the first place.

It seems like Cube has decided to give their leader roles to the trainee/member who has been with the company the longest considering Yoojin/Seungyeon has been in Cube at least before A-pink debuted in 2011 and Seunghee got in only in 2012. Now with Pentagon, they gave that role to Hui who seem to also be that trainee since he seem to have been with Cube since 2013 latest even with Jinho, the oldest member, being in the group who most likely entered Cube around late 2014-early 2015. (On top of both these members being more fit to be leader that is)

Just my observation anyway.

Seunghee still sings a lot tho. She just wasn't seen in the MV but the last quarter of the song was full of her. It's just that they gave the high note to Elkie which used to be sth given to her and she did the adlibs when that used to be Sorn.

Cube really did put Seunghee away from the highlights.

1) I am okay with Elkie taking that  very one ad lib. I mean there is none in CLC that can sing Suenghee's part that comes shortly afterward. However my issue is that it should have been given to Sorn. She has a better tone.

2) What I am really mad is that we hardly see Seunghee and Sorn in the MV. But tbh Sorn had it better. I mean she got her individual shots going on etc. Seunghee on the other hand was robbed of her screen time. Its always the others when its her part. Seungyeon even took a whole Seunghee's bridge in the mv.

Well I kinda get why Cube did so. Seunghee is sort of an awkward person. She do not really exploit her own potentials. Idk wether she is shy or what but she really look awkward most of time. So my take is that rather than to give her time to explore and build up her confidence CUBE simply ignore her need for support. She sings very well, but I dont think cube will highlight her anytime soon. And the worse part is that I believe that Seunghee herself is okay with this. I mean her mv shots must be awkward etc. She needs somebody to guide her to explore her true potential!

Even though Seunghee still gets plenty of lines in No Oh Oh, I really don't understand why she gets very little screentime in the MV. During her singing parts, we only get a closeup of her for a few moments during her part in the 1st chorus, then we only see her back during her part in the 2nd chorus, and we don't get a focus shot of her at all during her part after Yeeun's rap and the final chorus which she sings after Elkie's high note.

Well maybe the MV doesn't really matter that much, IMO the music show stages are more important. I'm just hoping that she's okay with it at least...  :._.:

Seunghee had the most singing lines in No Oh Oh except that she got the least screen time (along with Sorn) in the MV

Idk, maybe cube feels ok to reduce her screen time since she had the most singing lines. They're trying to push the visual line, Eunbin, Yoojin ,Yeeun & Elkie (for China market) both in singing & screen time (although I don't see the point of having more than 2 visuals in one group)

They should reduce Yeeun's (the rapper) singing lines & give it to Sorn/Seungyeon.

I saw a lot of complaints about the lack of Sorn & Seunghee in the MV

on a side note, I still dislike the idea of changing the leader after debut

Even though I do not keep up with CLC, when I watched the music video I wanted her to shine more. I did feel sad because I did feel she was put to the side, not really the company trying to push her. I think the way they divided the screen time for everyone was definitely unequal. Perhaps if they showed more of her in the video, it would seem less like they were trying to push her though, although Sorn who is a very lovable member by the public, I feel, is also being pushed to the side (and she's sooooo pretty :ahmagah: ) in this comeback.
