kobayashi.s 1,205
I always hear OH say SK public only like ballad / mid-tempo songs but BBB was a success last year and it's a trap song with basically no chorus. So what is the truth?

Mees Madds 36,578
It's not public friendly but it's Big Bang. They will make something public friendly if they want to. infinity challenge sure helped a lot I think it helped with Bae Bae more than Bangx3. I remember after IC Bae Bae started climbing up again and getting lots of streams.

Snek 3,380
People on OH are full of shit though, if you look at year-end charts upbeat dance songs does just as well as mellow songs. It's an excuse they come up with to bash groups they dislike. Yes you could say it's public friendly since trap beats are the trend these days and EDM has been popular for a decade. Anything will sell if it has Big Bang's name on it, even if it's trash. BBB leaving people butthurt even after a year, what kind of impact. BryMiaSon 3,618
Nothing is more public friendly than 'BANG BANG BANG BANGYA BANGYA BANGYA'. Children play pretend gun fights and make shooting noises like this every day. Even a 3 year old can sing the chorus. And Bigbang themselves have that status of being public friendly. They are the public's group. So even if at times they release songs that aren't public friendly, public will give them a try anyway. They are a tested and proven brand. GD released many non-public friendly songs for his solo and they became hits. And Korea isn't any different than other countries - there are tons of people with different opinions. tbh WLTP was the most public friendly, but BBB and Bae Bae were more of a hit. People like weird or anthem type of songs once in a while.
louisamizi 1,803
Don't listen to OH's 'experts'. Last year, some of them said that Bang Bang Bang would be the end of Big Bang's career and we all saw what happened. They all laughed at the chorus, telling it wasted the song, but in the end, the chorus is what the public sing the most. In my opinion, BBB is not a public friendly song, more a clubbing song. But, it's so catching that you can't stop dansing and singing when it's started. This's why everybody (kids, teens, adults, olders) go crazy for this song. JessJess 42,318
To answer the OP, no. To some of the other posts, it obviously isn't just Koreans who like BBB if their MV surpassed 100million views 7months after it's release. It's currently on it's way to 150million views. Enjoy. CHOROS 894
lol delusional is real, SNSD and EXO>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>bb by miles BB digital sales last year with just 8 songs were more than 9 million DL while EXO with 20 songs were at 5 million DL and for SNSD with 10 songs? is at less than 2 million DL! Yeah that shows how the public prioritize EXO and SNSD that even if you combine the sales of the 2 groups it was not enough to reach BB DL's! So continue with your delusion

Shiro Yasha 913
It's not public friendly but it still tops the 2015 digital chart by considerable margin (minus NAUL song). Which makes me wonder why some people are still using 'not public friendly' song as excuse for their fav poor charting.
