ㅇㅇ |2016.05.29 01:46 I'm a Winner fan, and since they're in the same agency as Bigbang sunbaes, I know that they treat them really well. That's why I feel so thankful towards Bigbang, I'll be signing the petition on my phone to help. If YG realizes that he's not receiving any money, he will start to move so let's not give up! I know that a boycott is not something easy to pull off. That's why I want to support this even more. The boycott has been long overdue by now..Anyways, I'm signing this for sure, we will succeed!

Everytime I see that list of reasons I can't help but roll my eyes. It's Big Bang. One of the most if not the most succesful group in SK and Asia. And kvips want them to stop going to other countries and just hold concerts in their max 30k venues. They are also complaining about GD basically because he's the main producer of Big Bang and releasing an album depends on him. They are also crying about YG not responding to all rumours like wtf is that even about?! "No concern over Big Bang's image" ?? The guys themselves don't have much concerns over their image since the beginning.

the nuclear thing is bad but im not sure about the full albums and members overworked. i mean i thought its like up to the members when they want to release the album, no? since they are all mainly composed by gd

the decision is still on YG's hand regardless if the members composes the songs

even GD and Taeyang once said they have to fight to release their solos

That's not true. Taeyang once mentioned the fact that he couldn't put on his last album more of the type of songs he wanted to. Nobody is stopping them from releasing solos.

Even if gd is the main producer... YG has the last say for this, if he thinks that the song is not public friendly then he will reject it and maybe tell bb to make another song that is public friendly

The overworked thing is stated like this, ' they want Bigbang to not be overworked by making them stay in Korea instead of going to other countries'.

Kvips just want to see Bigbang in Korea, that is the crux of the whole situation.

Like, BB get their time off and they travel around, go to clubs and party, go on vacations and work on their individual business and stuff and they have a blast. 'overworked' thing is just .. nope!

What does public friendly mean exactly? Is Bangx3 public friendly? Is Bae Bae public friendly? Do you think GD doesn't know by now what YG and the public wants from them and that's why he has mentioned he has been struggling with composing?

GD said YG doesn't interfere with their albums and stuff anymore. He doesn't take part in the production like he used to and yeah, he listens to the song but its highly unlikely that he will keep scraping songs GD makes. I mean Be Bae, Zutter, Bang Bang Bang weren't exactly public friendly.

GD probably just wants to wait till their lucky date - August is special to them. If BB want to wait till then, no is going to stop them.

for me  i knew about the nuclear one and i thought they did it far away from the effected area but still super bad

everything bb releases now is public friendly bc of their name.

Unpopular opinion but the nuclear thingy. Big Bang changed the name of the Japanese concert to Love & Hope to give strength and show support to their Japanese fans who may be directly or indirectly affected by the disaster. I thought it was very sweet and courageous of them to still continue with their concert in spite of the potential health risks. It gave me renewed respect for them.

BIGBANG

[Don't go to Japan]

Korea’s cry is beyond…

On May 10th at Osaka Hall, BIGBANG’s “Love and Hope Tour 2011″ began.

“This time, it was hard to come to Japan, but we came to keep our promise with everyone.â€

With these words that V.I (20yrs) said, the venue with 20,000 fans cried and their delightness peaked. The venue swung, some people were too touched to even shed a tear. There is a deep reason why these words were strongly said in all 3 days. The promise that V.I talked about is when they had a tour last February, they said “We’ll come again.†to fans.

To keep this promise, the BIGBANG members announced the “Love and Pain tour 2011″. The plans at the moment were that concerts will be held in Tokyo, Yokohama and more. But it changed because of the eartquake that happened in Eastern Japan on March 11th. Worried voices raised because BIGBANG’s tour might have been cancelled.

But they said “Because of this serious situation, we would like to give messages for energy and hope to those who suffered.â€

They put thought in it and announced that the tour title was changed from “Love and Pain†to “Love and Hope†which made their Japanese fans happy. But with the Japanese tour, there was an objection from Korea.

“They are our never ending singers, and we can’t let BIGBANG who are Korean citizens, go to Japan because of the serious condition. We want the Japan tour to be cancelled.â€

About 7500 fans sent their voices to the entertainment and their record company. The company announced that their stay would be shortened from 2 months to 2 weeks and the cries of Korean fans remained. But still, BIGBANG arrived on May 2nd. Leader G-Dragon said on the meeting after the tour’s first day,

“We hope that they’ll understand that it’s safe because we’re here. Japan and Korea are near countries, we must join forces to reconstruct the road to walk.†for Korean fans to understand and to tell his feelings to Japan.

I believe at that time YGEX was established and Big Bang renewed their contract with YGe to the now revealed 90%-10% cut for overseas events.

No problem. It was not a popular opinion back then and I got bashed for it. The perceived health scare was real but I trust the BB guys could make a good judgement call for themselves. I don't trust YGE but I trust the guys' decision.

That's my sentiment exactly. Which is why I'm bothered by this boycott so much since it makes BB look completely helpless.

some points are understandable, some aren't.

BB doesn't need media play, they have a stable and successful career, everybody knows. Also, at this point of their career, who cares about rumors? is not like rumors can destroy them, so there is no need for the company to deny every rumor.

fans have right to complain about MADE album who had to be released last year. Is understandable they want to see them in Korea, not only abroad.

Damn :dave:

Wasn't Bigbang named one of the top 5 powerful figures in Korean entertainment above LSM and YG? 300 industry leaders from film, music and television had to vote.

#4 Bigbang - 259/300 > #6 YG - 228/300 :hurr:

5th was LSM.

Yes, they got 4th place, above them both. I find it amazing as much as amusing tbh. No wonder people say the Big 3 are BigBang, SM and JYP.

259 points for BB.  :ahmagah:  I mean as annoying as it is that YG uses BB to promote everything, goes to show why they do it.

Bigbang's name value simply matters more than YG's. The industry insiders, the people running the industry trust in BB's brand power more.

This was indicating BB's KMA SOTY too. Critics and industry insiders respect them.

That thread was unnecessary and the boycott was a mess and became a bigger mess. I mean the guys are at least 26/27-29/30 years old this year. I understand 'some' of the reasons kvips gave for the boycott. But I disagree. They could...you know....just not buy the live DVD/CD?

Anyway, I saw Seungri and GD's Instagram posts and they were having fun and enjoying their lives. If GD is not motivated enough to enter the studio, chain smoking and binge on espressos, trying to churn out hit songs and instead choose to enjoy life. As a fan, I am happy that the guys got some rest. I am guilty of wanting that MADE album but I can wait. I waited for Shinhwa during their 4 years army hiatus. I can wait for Big Bang as well. Some things are worth the wait.
