We would like to make an announcement that we have filed a lawsuit to bring criminal charges against one hater. The hater has been accused of defaming Hyunseung and his family by libelling indiscriminately over last 1 year and spreading groundless rumours.

Mr. JinHwan Kim, the representative attorney at Law Firm ‘SeRyeong’ has filed a lawsuit on May 26 2016 to bring criminal charges against one hater.

 

What did the accused do toward Hyunseung

The accused has been identified as one of Beast Fans and is still acting so aggressively through social networks such as twitter, Instagram, blog and community sites. With many fan’s cooperation, we have identified the malicious hater and have collected enough evidence to charge her for the defamation.

It’s found that the accused has continuously posted details on her blog regarding Hyunseung’s appearance, songs, album, stage manner, and solo MV etc, and had also criticised him severely. Even on her blog last year, she mentioned that he seemed to be a drug user or he did drug performance. It’s dated back on May 2015.

Since the fan meeting on Sept 2015 until now, she has been bullying Hyunseung every day.

She has invaded his privacy, posting his private pictures of him without his permission, sexually harassing him, manipulating community post to make people misunderstand and to undermine his reputation. Recently, she was even bullying Hyunseung’s sister. Now, she openly shows hostility towards Hyunseung and his people. Her hatred is considerably increasing the risk to harm Hyunseung again and to occur unreasonable attack towards him in the future.

 

Why do we decided to accuse the hater

Since debut, Hyunseung has never complained about haters. Instead, he talked in one media interview that he will do his best until he can satisfy the haters. We, Hyunseung fans, fully support his attitude towards the haters. In alignment with his attitude, fans have tolerated and waited for a long time, expecting that haters will stop eventually. However, haters are bullying even Hyunseung’s family and laughing over it. Their born-hatred is increasing now.

For the past several year, we, Koreans, have lost many entertainers who have suffered from haters. They have been through difficult times, suffering from unreasonable insults from the haters in the name of fans. We will not let those incidents occur again

 

We’d like to make sure that this legal action is not taken for the purpose of punishing one or several born-haters. Since Beast debut, many Korean fans and international fans have tried to make good examples as a good fandom by doing charity works such as well-drilling, donating stuffs, and working as volunteers to help people. Hyunseung and Beast members had made consensus to walk along on their own way. It doesn’t matter if they are together or not, they will support each other and we as fans will also be supporting each other. We hope that this good mood of circumstance will continue and never be ruined by one or several haters.

 

We strongly believe that only real fans can have power to protect their artists from haters and real fans protect their fandom as hater-free zone.

Jang Hyunseung’s Fan Union Sues Netizens For Malicious Comments And Actions Against Singer

A union of fans of former BEAST member Jang Hyungseung have submitted to the police charges of defamation against netizens who left malicious comments and spread false information about the singer. The suit was submitted yesterday, May 26 KST, according to a statement released by the union.

 

The union argues that the actions of the netizens they are suing can be categorized as defamation, having indiscriminately spread slander and false information for more than six months. The union is suing netizens who have attacked Jang Hyunseung on a personal level, starting around May 2015, with comments that can be described as sexual harassment and suggesting that Jang Hyunseung uses drugs. The union describes some actions as stalking, the ways these netizens chased down his every move and spread their speculations and rumors about him regarding his solo album boycott and his absence from BEAST’s fan meeting. These netizens have also committed slander against Jang Hyunseung’s acquaintances and family, says the union. Some even claimed to be close to Cube Entertainment staff and have insider information to spread their false rumors. The union emphasizes that this suit is not against fans who simply demanded an explanation, but against those who attacked the artist with malicious intent for longer than six months.

 

It concludes, “This isn’t punishment and revenge against an individual; we’re proceeding with this action in order to foster a more mature, healthy, and wholesome fandom culture that isn’t shaken by the selfish action of a few malicious fans.†It also says they will support Jang Hyunseung and BEAST as pursue their different visions for their music.

 

Jang Hyunseung officially parted ways with BEAST this past April, following the controversy over his alleged “attitude problem.†Cube Entertainment stated that the members came to the decision after much discussion over differences in personality and opinions on music.
