Am I the only one who keeps reading Ela8te as "eh-leight"? I know its "Ee-light" but...the 8   :derp:

I think that name could've easily have been El8 if the 8 was completely necessary, because now people read Ela8te as Ela-ate-te, unless it's how it's meant to read... I put it through Google translate and the hangul name, El8, Elate and Ela8te all sounds different to each other. Also ì¼ë¼ìž‡ apparently translates to Twlight.

By the way, any chance you could add t-ae, di and xia as tags, since it might make it easier to find this thread and people know them more commonly by those names, perhaps even include rania as a tag at least until Ela8te debuts?

Ela8te, a newly formed girl group consisting of Tae Eun, Jin Young, and Darae, is ready to take new further steps. According to Enter Hama, in charge of Ela8te’s management and promotion, Tae Eun, Jin Young, Darae is now preparing for their new debut, since the contract with their former agency has expired last April. Ela8te’s first official promotion will start off in China from June, as they succeeded signing with Taobao, the biggest online market in China.“The members have been working very hard lately, taking Chinese lessons, writing songs for their upcoming album, and getting used to the new circumstances,†added the officials of Enter Hama.

Enter Hama also mentioned that Ela8te’s promotion in China is set from June to December, and the members are filled with expectations since they’ve been in contact with various Chinese media officials in terms of online broadcasting shows, TV commercials, dramas, and etc. Meanwhile, Ela8te’s Korean and international fans will be able to enjoy their reality shows on Enter Hama’s YouTube channel. Three teaser videos of each members has been released with English subtitles so far, while their first episode will be revealed on June 15th.

Hmm...hoping this doesn't mean that they're going to only promote in China for the rest of the year. Surely they'll also release a Korean single and promote it in Korea within that period of time. Wouldn't make sense otherwise. Hopefully it won't be too long after their debut promotion in China.

It also says they are working on writing songs for their new album too, so maybe not that long of a wait...hopefully. At least we know they are working on different types of stuff now.

I still wonder if it'll be a Chinese album or a Korean one though, since it talks about them doing that alongside preparing for their Chinese promotions (i.e. "taking Chinese lessons", "getting used to the new circumstances"). I mean a Chinese album will still be great, but obviously it probably won't be getting too much attention in Korea (and internationally), although if it's successful, it will at least help fund their future activities and build a Chinese fanbase.

On the other hand, as far as I know, I don't think too many kpop groups have actually released Chinese albums (compared to Japanese ones), so who knows?

I don't know, I guess we'll just have to see if they release any info regarding promoting in the Korean market as well.

Hmmm....so nothing has really happened yet... Not overly surprised though. Hoping they start doing something soon, but I wouldn't be surprised if their company is delaying any activities until they recruit more members. Hope that they'll make their Korean debut at least by the beginning of next year.
