Kangin's actions are wrong in so many ways that I have no words to defend him.

 

however, I can't imagine SuJu seeing Kangin leaving the group this way. It's like you have a family member that always do bad things, no matter how many you criticize and disapprove his acts, you'll still love that person bc he's important to you.

As an ELF I don't think kick him off is the best solution (maybe just to improve the group's image but since it is already much destroyed and koreans dont fuck care about SJ unfortunately it will not matter much at this point. It will not serve much)

What kangin needs (other than serve the sentence that will be attributed to him) is help. he need to go to rehab to cure himself since it seems that he have serious issues with alcohol

the thing is: will not serve of anything send him to rehab against his will. he first needs to understand that he needs help, only then will be able to be helped
(Although as Korea have an culture of drinking and seeing programs such as "hello counselor" doesn't seem to me that psychological problems among other things involving psychologists and rehabilitation are not taken that serious in Korea. such a pity. i really think that he needs help at this point. taking him down will not help him in anything it. it just will make it worse).

while i can understand what the op means, i see no reason to take it as anything other than their personal stance on the situation. the truth is there are elf defending kangin and/or minimizing his actions. they mean it and i wouldn't bet any money on them being a tiny group. it goes from sad to truly disgusting. many aren't talking about rehab or jail time, they just want him to be left alone and for korean people to "stop being so dramatic". 

 

i understand there's a history in the kpop fandom of people jumping on the hate bandwagon and talking shit, condemning idols they already don't like, without bothering to look at the facts but this is just not one of those cases because each comment (aside from ones wishing death and excessive suffering on kangin) is justified, lives were in danger and kangin's behaviour was appalling. he may have redeeming qualities but you'll excuse if people feel no inclination to learn them given the details of this incident. 

 

also i'd like to see were this history of chronic depression comes from? i have no knowledge of that...what i've felt is that fans (and non-fans also) have started assuming kangin has a drinking problem and idt you can in any way determine that from a couple of incidents where alcohol was involved. it is south korea, after all. the only thing you can say with certainty is his irresponsibility and gross negligence when he drinks, for which he is still accountable even if he is depressed or an alcoholic, those wouldn't be extenuating circumstances. 

 

and can fans please stop saying only elf can talk about this, that makes no sense.
