M A M A 3,133
If Toronto’s CN Tower were the Billboard album charts, Drake either can’t or won’t get down from up top. The New York Times is reporting that Drizzy’s Views remains in that No. 1 spot for a third week, passing the half-billion mark in streams in the process. The streaming numbers on Views are directly tied to the fact that Drake made the album an Apple Music exclusive in its first week out. In that opening week, the album was downloaded more than 850,000 times and received a record-breaking 250 million streams, more than doubling the previous record set by Beyonce just one week before with LEMONADE. Having expanded its reach to other streaming services such as Tidal and Spotify, Views received an added push, gaining another 186 million streams in its third week. Since its release, the songs on Views have been streamed 572 million times in the U.S and Drake has overthrown fellow Canadian Justin Bieber as Spotify’s most streamed artist. Perhaps more telling, though, is the fact that in each of its three weeks out Views has been streamed more times than any album before. Those third week streaming numbers would have just as well beat out Beyonce’s first week of streams. In addition to the album’s accomplishments, Drake has regained the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100, with “One Dance†ousting Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling!†after JT’s latest did the same to Drake’s hit. Suffice it to say, Drake is likely doing multiple dances considering the accolades Views continues to earn. source Congrats Drake. Even tho this album is not my fav album of his. Still so impressive

M A M A 3,133
drake is huge worldwide so happy for my toronto king I remember seeing him in one of youngmoney videos, and never thought he'd be this big I think it was Bed Rock .. Happy for him. Why is this article mentioning Lemonade lmao? Lemonade isn't available for streaming anywhere apart from shitty Tidal. Because Lemonade is on competition with it? Also JT was mentioned here because they were in compeition for #1 on BB.
