I know this probably isn't the right place to ask about this, but I'm pretty desperate by now as I tried everything I knew

if the mods think I shouldn't be asking this here feel free to lock the thread

so my touchpad used to work well but when I turned my laptop on today it didn't work anymore

recovery system told me a driver was missing and I clicked to install it

I reboot my computer but it still didn't work, I tried unistalling and installing the newest version of the drivers from the manufacturer's site, but it still doesn't work

when I go to 'Mouse' configs it only shows the usb driver, and there's no touchpad driver

apparently there's a problem with Synaptics, idk

can someone pls help me? ;--;

Oh, I don't know much about samsungs but yeah sounds like a driver error....

It might have just given out though, I recommend a. Taking it into a shop or b. getting a wireless mouse and using that.

yeah I hate using mouses tho

thanks for your help

btw do you think it's worthy updating it to Windows 8? Samsung is providing free upgrade

nope, apparently it's Fn+F5, I didn't press it... it just doesn't work at all

uhm try to go to Device Manager on your computer, look for "xxx Pointing device" or so. click on it, you may see if anything could be wrong with the driver. you can try update/reinstall the driver there as well, and if that don't work I think you will need to get it fixed :/

Yeah.

You're welcome, though I didn't do much.

Um... Not sure I have Windows 7, Windows XP, and Windows 7 Deluxe only (on different computers of course).

lmao, no.

It's going to be slower if you update it with W8 if the computer is older than the program.

Pretty much it's like updating an iPhone 4 with IOS 7.

The phone is relatively new but it can't handle such a program without being slow, you know?
