Yall sitting over here oohing and ahhing at BabyMetal and their success in the US but I've been hearing about them touring/performing at concerts/events for over a year now. I don't know how long they've actually been doing it, but you don't just pop in somewhere where you actually want to build a career and start on a gimmick hoping that will keep you going. You actually try and build your fan base. BBM had to work hard to get where they are especially in a field of music that is niche. CL's trying to break into mainstream, something even homegrown artists can't do. While I have several criticisms about this, that's not the point the point is, she can make it if she plays her cards right. So I don't know why the pessimism. On another note I have no idea why CL should be held solely responsible for 2NE1, especially for Minzy. Everyone out here praising Minzy for doing what she had to do to get herself going yet CL doing the same is considered a bad thing. Maybe had 2NE1 not been managed like they were DOA from the get go things would've been different. But I'm sure in the end it's all CL's fault as not only is she the leader, she's the manager, creative director, music management, CF specialist, and CEO as well Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Wtf? welp i didn't even get to touch on that in my post. the poem is by erykah badu, called the warriors reminder. it is meant to be inspiring and empowering, sort of like "when the going gets tough, the tough get going" (at least that's how ive always read it). so yeah i dont get the pessimism either.
