Saying you are not homophobic and then saying "It's wrong to be gay according my religion", guess what? YOU'RE A HOMOPHOBE! I'm so sick and tired of people thinking you are only homophobic if you're beating up gays in the streets...if you are part of a religion that has been systematically killing and discriminating homosexuals just based on some moronic 5000 year old book you are just as bad. You're the reason thousands of gay people are still being murdered everywhere in the world. Stop screaming that you are entitled to your beliefs and that you have every right to think the way you do because "you are not hurting gay people"...because YOU ARE HURTING GAY PEOPLE. You are making it possible for people to beat up gay people, to make sure they don't get married, they can get fired, they are kicked out of their house by their parents, all because of your moronic religion. If you are not 100% okay with homosexuality then I'm not okay with you. End of story. If you would not be okay with your child or your brother or sister being gay then you are not pro-gay you are a part of the problem. If you are like this, I have no desire for you to be in any way a part of my life. Okay let me start off by saying I get the sentiment behind this statement but your are not only being contradictory but also can be seen as a hyporcrite. So its bad when people disagree with homosexuality (passivly or not) but its okay if you disagree with relgious doctrine that preaches against it. Just the same way you said that saying homosexuality goes against ones belifs is considered hateful, in that same paragraph you expressed what could be hateful speech to those who see things differently than you do. You sound just as hateful as the people you are saying are hateful. It never fails to shock me that Christians and other religious folk talk about how they love everyone, yet they hate on gay people in the name of their faith. And you STILL wanna claim that Religion is not a MASSIVE threat to homosexuals? Even if just 1/100 of those religious people believe that homosexuality is something truly evil and something that needs to be fought against, we are still talking about tens of millions of people. So stop you "oh not all religions teach that homosexuality is bad" or "oh not all religious people hate gay people"....we are talking such vast numbers of religious freaks that even if a small fraction of those truly start hating gay people, there will be already vast consequences for homosexuals. As a Christian, I can tell you that no where does it talk about "hating someone because they are different from you". The only one who is allowed to hate is God, and to add matters to that we are not supposed to hate people. Hate is a serious word, if you know what I mean. I can't speak for Islam and Judaism. However there are hundreds of relgions and you only found three.....not good odds. Again Nazis killed gays, so its not just relgious people who are a "threat" to gays. Anyway, I see your point, but you are acting just like some religious people act towards you, and that is not right either. Also nowadays not every religious person is homophobic and you'll probably find quite a few that are accepting. You shouldn't alienate everyone. Did something happen to bring this on OP?
