Hyooga 10,307
I still cannot speak about Japan that much since it is only recently that we are seeing a rise in Japanese idols in K-Pop. I know there was Kangnam (but he was half Korean) and Takuya (not a Big3 company tho) But looking at current and ex-Kpop trainees from China, I notice that many of them have a wider array of opportunities. It is also good to note that these are not ordinary opportunities either, most of them get Chinese film/TV projects and they immediately become leads/part of the principal cast. I know Korean stars get these chances as well, but I feel their disadvantage is that the 'trending Korean star' in China is always changing but Chinese K-Pop idols are more or less assured of a more stable career in the long run (like Victoria). I somehow have the feeling this could also happen to Japanese Kpop idols in the future.

DocumentaLy 6,033
The thing is though is that the groups have to get famous in Japan first.
