Jay Park appears in Grace Neutrals Documentary in South Korea

Since when does he have a nose piercing? I guess I missed that lol. I've actually never seen a nose piercing on a guy, much less a stud.. huh.

I watched that earlier. I think it has a misleading/clickbait title. But it's a decent small peek into alternative style and body modifications in Korea. I don't think they're as looked down upon by the newer generation, but nowhere near the acceptance in the West. I think it's still a bit taboo. A lot of people think it's trashy or "taints" the appearance. Not all but many of the people who have them atm are the rebellious type or young and reckless, which I guess could add to the poor image of those with tattoos. And of course the elders really don't like it. Many elders here don't like them either though haha

I heard getting a tattoo in S. Korea is difficult due to it being illegal, so you have to find them through a friend of a friend. This is very dangerous because people could end up with unqualified artists, poor environment and practices leading to infection or spreading of bloodborne diseases and more. Like they say in the video, tattoos weren't for regular people back then and even in recent times. It was for gang members and people up to no good. Things are slowly changing, and I'm sure the attitude towards tattoos and piercings will go with that. I can't see a lot of Koreans getting them but maybe the perception of tattoos will change over time.
