[AKP] IOI's Kim Se Jung gets personal about her past family hardships

IOI's Kim Se Jung got a little personal about her family on the May 17 broadcast ofJTBC's 'With You.' 

 

 

Se Jung was talking about how her mother raised her all on her own by taking on multiple jobs and how her parents split when she was still a child. She revealed, "I didn't keep in touch with my father until third year in middle school. That was the first time seeing my father after ten years." 

 

Se Jung may have come from a struggling family but now she's doing very well for herself. Just imagine how proud Se Jung's mother and father must be of her for making it so far!

I feel wronged on how he only appeared after Sejeong grew popularity. Seeing how Sejeong told how her mother single handedly carried her and her brother and how they experienced poverty.. it just hints that the father doesnt care abt them anymore. But Sejeong is the type of person to not hold grudges... I think even though Sejeong got left behind, she will always have a warm hug for everyone and is willing to forgive and forget anytime.

Sad thing is single mothers are looked down upon on Korean society so she had it extremely hard, not just living in poverty but also having to defend her mom every time the subject came up. That's great that her mom did that for them and it is crap that her dad is scum and not man enough to take care of his children
