Hola! First post in this account. Totally forgot about my old account, so I'd rather create a new life.

Since I'm a fan of Knowing Bros, I decided to do my 1st post here.

Also, I prefer a secluded life, so no friend requests or messages. I'm only here for anonymous conversation & discussion with no strings attached LOL.

 

The latest episode with Red Velvet was great. But, maybe I'm still a bit biased with Yeri & her CNBLUE version of Buzz's "Coward". So, I still prefer their previous episode. My random favorite part of the latest episode is when Young-chul's temporary replacement (K.JUN) entered the classroom with The X-Files' theme song. That was surprisingly funny for me LOL.

 

Also, was really disappointed to see some BLINKs on twitter being disrespectful towards Knowing Bros & JTBC on the news about Kim Jong-kook & Lee Jong-hyuk's appearance. From my point of view, YG really did ask for a favor to JTBC because it's already past BP's comeback period & Knowing Bros is probably already booked by other agencies to promote their artists' new songs, like ZICO, Yong-hwa, RV & EXO.

 

Some people said that YG has a bad relationship with JTBC or Knowing Bros is owned by SM. I don't think that's true though. We're bound to see many SM artists cause 3 of their main contributors are from SM. IMO Knowing Bros is very generous towards their casts & guests. They're also pretty generous towards Yoon Jong-shin & Mystic LOL. They're so lenient towards the casts on promoting their other TV shows & songs. They also play the songs of their previous guests, like what they did with PSY (Apink's episode) & WJSN (Kim Hee-sun's episode). Also, if you pay attention to the endings, they occasionally play previous guests' MV. I think partly they did all of those things for the sake of continuity. Continuity is as important as inside/running jokes for variety/tv shows.

 

I think the current situation with BP is because Turbo (Kim Jong-kook's duo) is having a comeback soon or maybe, JTBC just don't want to air too many idol episodes in a row. Personally, I think that's acceptable, since BP is almost finished with their current promotion. Also, the latest episode's rating is not that good.

Tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if pay off the reason BP hasn't aired yet is because of YG. It's well known that they get in disputes with tv stations. If something about the filming wasnt to their liking, they could block the airing. YG has more control/influence than some of the others who had not so great episodes. Or maybe the YG people pissed of the JTBC people and so they are holding it for now to show them who is boss. I can come up with about 5 more conspiracy theories, but honestly, it doesn't matter. The show will air when it airs. (But I am nosey so I do want to know why)

It's most likely the PD just didn't want three sets of idols in a row. I know KJK is an idol of sorts, but he's older and more famous for TV.

There is actually a good thing for BP if their episode is aired after they done doing promotion on music shows. At least they can keep maintain the hype and allow the public to keep up with them, instead of just disappear after no music activity on broadcasts. We know how YG tend to keep their idols in the dungeon when music promotion ends.

And if you actually check the rating for June-July the only episode that had below 5% was the one with Kim So Eun and John Park as guest, and that was 4.9%, otherwise it's consistent above 5%.

Seems like Kim Jong-kook's episode is supposed to air first anyway, cause Turbo just released their teaser. Jang-hoon's in the MV too.

Just watched EXO's episode. It was fun.

 

I always like random moments on the show.

For this episode I like when Janghoon said YOLO and he's depicted as some kind of hippie while Light My Fire by The Doors is playing in the background LOL. I also like DO's character and how they play with it, like the murder list: Youngchul is first then Jang Sungkyu is second LOL.

 

I dunno if it's because the editing but I noticed 2 things: Soogeun is hard-carrying the 1st half of the show and Heechul is being too quiet. Maybe he was traumatized by that RV's Weekly Idol episode LOL. So he decided to tone it down whenever the guests are idol groups, especially if it's his juniors.

 

Also, some jokes are about playing with words (but it's in Korean LOL) & about references from Korean ads & products, so some of us will feel awkward because we don't get the jokes.

 

This episode is also a bit messy.

I dunno if some parts (especially Baekhyun's) are generally acceptable for 9 pm tv show in Korea. I like it though. I just hope it won't bring them troubles for being a bit bold like this.

EXO episode was better than expected. There was a lot of materials to work with and the hyungnims seems to be getting along with the members just fine.

 

I think it's more entertaining than SHINee or Infinite episode, for a male idol group that is.

But still I am really looking forward to JongKook & Hodong interaction. They were on X-Men back together in the old times and are pretty close friend.

There is also some 'spicy stuff'. KJK brought up the issue on how he was going to get kicked from 'Running High School' because of KHD

From my personal opinion it could be one of a few reasons:

1. YG himself personally requested jTBC to hold off the episode until a certain date.

2. BP was just not in KB's queue of guest since it was actually YG asking for a favor to let BP to appear on the show. So it could possibly air after LJH/KJK episode, or much later.

3. YG did not like how the episode turned out so he asked to cancel it (worse case scenario)

 

but who knows what actually happened.

Hey guys, i'm new here.

EXO's ep was good but sometimes it felt messy as someone above said. Like when Kai was asked to make a poem out of their name and to teleport and he ran and then everyone were pretending that he teleported when they actually showed him running, it was awkward to me but he became comfortable later which made it fine. Lee Soogeun definitely carried hard this episode, he picked on everything that can make an unenjoyable moment enjoyable. I was expecting more from Heechul but he was way too quiet during Q/A segment, he's really close with Baekhyun so maybe he was trying to not say anything that can create controversy later.

 

It was a good episode but Red Velvet's ep was a little better imo. I'm excited for next week's episode.

I agree with all 3 possibilities.

The 1st one is reasonable since YG is extending BP's promotion period & delaying their Japanese one.

The 3rd one is interesting tho LOL. If their episode won't air after the next episode or the one after that then there must be something wrong.

LOL yeah, sometimes they can be a bit too much with those kinds of awkward scenarios.

Agreed on Hee-chul part, he's old enough and had lots of experiences about that kind of thing (Ssulzun for example), so he's probably just restraining himself to prevent controversies & give more airtime to his juniors.

 

Yeah this episode is definitely below RV but it's a good one. IMO the most disappointing one lately is Kim So-eun, John Park & Hwang Chi-yeul's episode. The guests were promising but the episode was meh compared to the hype & possibilities.

But Seo Jang Hoon and his ex-wife is now basically under the same company, LOL. So much of trying to avoid her.

AGB Nielsen ratings are more important. They've been in the 4% range on Nielsen since the timeslot change. It's great that the latest episode with Kim Jongkook exceeded 5%. They've been stuck in the 4% with the idols lately. Maybe that's why the PDs decided to air KJK episode first before Blackpink. They should have invited Jongkook alone bcoz the other guest didn't get much time to talk. It was funny to see how hyper Jongkook was, i wish they invite him again, he had so much to talk but not enough time. Maybe bcoz i'm biased to him that i was getting pissed (not really) when they were asking him to stop talking lol, i was like "plz, continue Jongkook, don't listen to them" haha

 

I'm excited as well as nervous for next week's episode, it can go either way, it will depend on how Blackpink members handle the script, it can get awkward if they didn't feel comfortable there which i hope won't happen. Well, i won't worry much for now, will see this Saturday, hopefully it'll be good.

but Jongkook really talks a lot LOL! Even the guests in RM said the same thing. I guess he really is lonely, so whenever he meets people he gets excited and talk non-stop. They need to invite him alone to be fair to the others that will get less screen time around him.

I'm not hating on KJK btw, I don't really watch KB, but i was excited for this cause of him.
