It was pointed out quite a few times that their lack of knowledge and not recognising him was fine. The issue is that they called him by a name/term used by the Japanese. Seolhyun didn't say a thing other than looking up the historical figures in her phone. The one that did is Jimin. How she got pulled and dragged over this, I don't even know. If a history exam was given in America to the general public I'm pretty sure the average score would be like a 60% and that's being generous. However over 90% would know important figures like George Washington... Also what K-netz seem to be most upset about is how they used a Japanese pronunciation. However, I don't think they should keep being dragged for their mistake since they've already apologized so there's not much else they can do. Because we can all agree that being asked to recognize a picture of Abraham Lincoln after being given a hint like "Abolished slavery" isn't exactly the same as a detailed essay recounting all major events of the War of 1812.
