BadBadNotGood 11,616 Posted May 15, 2016 Share Posted May 15, 2016 I've been watching all of the Mass Effect romances that I missed on youtube since my one true love is Major Kaidan Alenko and always will be, but I must say, I love the Liara romance. Don't really care for the Jack romance... Yet, the worst romance of all time has to be Jacob's. If you're in the fandom you know Jacob is the least favored character because he's boring, apparently Bioware decided to capitalize on that by giving him a fucking TERRIBLE and out-of-character romance ending. He can't wait 6 months and cheats on you with a scientist...oh and he gets her pregnant. Like...damn I know he only had like 3 fans but why did they have to do him like that? Almost as bad as femshep's "romance" with James. He could sue her for sexual harassment in the workplace if he wanted, tbh. Hated that storyline. Maybe Miranda 3rd.....maybe. lol I use to be a fan of Blue (in the first game).....but no longer......becuase I can't stand herrrrrrrrrrrrrr anymorez ! >_> <_< (I know someone is gonna come at me and condemn me to hell because I don't like errrbodi's fave. lol) I tried female shep and the Jacob thing once.......but that just felt so wrong. Cute, smart, a bit nerdy and a bad ass with a shotgun. Plus it helped she was useful in game too: in my play through, in 2 she was mega useful for Geth fights but average otherwise but in 3 she was practically unkillable and owned almost everyone (though tbh playing as a Vanguard in 3 was way too easy but extremely fun, I literally solo'd the game on the hardest difficulty as a Vangaurd) I love Yvonne Strahovski and wanted to like Miranda but I dunno, she felt kinda too controlling and overbearing so never romanced her. LOL When the first game came out I romanced her because I didn't want to romance Ash. Then around the 2nd and 3rd I got annoyed with how imo she was being shoved with her all the time in my face. Especially in the 3rd game I was already mad at the endings and I romanced Tali but when it ended and you get those flashback scenes of the people that matter most to you or something and they put her in Liara and not Tali (before the fix), I was done! lol I'm slowly growing to liking her again(sort of) but.....when fans and friends and everyone keep telling me you stan her because she is PERFECT EVERYTHING....i dun wanna nemore. lol You know what I mean? .....its just....... I wanted my woman Shepard to be single for the whole game...I think because I wanted to give her a character that choose work over finding love. But if I was able to romance James, then I probably would have done it. I always thought it was a bit cold to romance someone knowing that you're going to die. It's one of the reasons why I really don't like the Jack romance. Of course everyone will be heartbroken but for Jack...idk. She's super strong so I know she will move on but still :/ The romance always felt odd. I'd rather just be her friend. Well you can have sex with him This whole thing is awful tho. This just makes me hope that the writing for Andromeda is better character development wise. Don't treat the less popular characters like shit just because they are...less popular. And I honestly hope there is no more of this "choose which member of your team dies" /duo character thing. I am so disconnected from Ashley...yet too stubborn to actually let her live lol. Aparently its rare though i think you need full galactic readyness, convince the illusive man to kill himself, pick the destroy option and some other stuff I remember being confused around the time the game came out, everyone kept saying they were mad Shep died and I was all "wait Shep died?"
