How do I deal with someone who has ADHD?

Ugggghhh :>_>:

So I'm at work right now right and we just got a new "supervisor" transferred to our workplace yesterday....and he's annoying as shit! Like legit attention deficit!

So around the same time right now yesterday, me and my coworkers (the ones with the same pay grade) got introduced to our new boss, basically. He introduces himself to us, we think nothing much of it as we didn't talk that much..then he goes and introduces himself to everyone else.

We thought he was ok, granted we didn't get to talk much with him because he needed to get settled in.

And then....today comes. Have you ever had experiences where some people you meet just tries soooo hard trying to forcing conversations on you? They try to be so overtly optimistic that it ends up sounding fake? And they say such random shit not even pertaining to the conversation at hand? Yeah, THIS IS LITERALLY HIM! He had more time to talk with us and try to get to know us a little bit more and after me and a few of my coworkers got done conversing with him, we were just left stunned.

I legit you not, he even had a fucking catchphrase!!! He literally said the word "Yahooo!" like 5 times in less than 5 minutes. Like have you ever played Mario? And sometimes when you beat a level Mario yells out "Yahooo!"? Yeah, he sounded EXACTLY like that! :>_>: I'm fucking serious, I kid you not!

Pls tell me how to tell my supervisor to kindly "Fuck the fuck off!" when he tries talking to me without getting myself fired from my job?

I like working here and I like my coworkers, but fuck this douche

:imstupid:

just say things "that's great/cool/one way to go, but I would really like to know the answer/correct method/conclusion to what we were talking about". When in a good mood, my boss travels down rabbit holes a lot. Saying something like that is still respectful but keeps things on track.

WARNING, SOAP BOX TIME

As someone who has had adhd for 31 years, I wish you wouldn't lump us all together.

Adhd happens when one of 31 genes take the place of a missing gene in the attention center of the brain. That's why not everyone who has it shows the same traits. For instance, I don't have hyperactivity, but I do have crazy hyperfocus.

I'm sorry, I didn't really know how to word it without it sounding rude? Again, sorry

I didn't mean for it to come out that strong. Most people don't know, so I try to share the knowledge. It only really bothers me when people say stupid things like "I'm so adhd today. I just can't focus on anything."

Honestly? Put up with it. Even if it's annoying, it's better than having a supervisor who's rude and uninterested on people who work with him. He's clearly trying to be nice and making an effort to get to know you and your co-workers better so this should count for something. Maybe it's going to get better once time passes and he gets more comfortable.

No this was my fault, but thanks you for the sound advice

I guess that makes sense and I guess it is better than someone who is over bearing or overtly strict. I will try to look at it that way as I quite like my job

My supervisor is always what are you doing where are you, where are you, what are you doing? U just asked 10 minutes ago bitch damn.

All the things you said also doesn't mean that ur sup has ADHD

Yeh you're right thanks

That's not ADHD. Stop diagnosing ppl unless you're a doctor.
