1984, Fahrenheit 451, Slaughterhouse Five, As I Lay Dying, Turn of the Screw, The Divine Comedy (Didn't read Paradiso, though lol), In Cold Blood, & Wise Blood were some of my favorites.

Then there's generic shit like Gatsby, Animal Farm and To Kill a Mockingbird that everyone reads.

fuck Anna Karenina, Heart of Darkness and Metamorphosis.

Into the Wild

1984

The Pearl

The Alchemist

Some book of some Southerner(?) girl who meets a mayan couple from guatemala, and helps them get residency for their child by claiming they were Native Americans from a reservation (someone who knows the title please tell me it lol)

also, failed first semester of 12th grade english, so i took online classes that had me go over Hamlet, Beowulf, and some of Jonathon Swift's poetry, all of which were a lot better than my actual english class lol

I can't remember anything from Middle School, but we were allocated a lot of time to read books of our choice anyway.

The Bloody Chamber

Henry V

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

Rolling Thunder, Hear My Cry

The Tempest

The Wasp Factory

To Kill a Mockingbird

(+ a lot of Sylvia Plath and Metaphysical poetry) I enjoyed most of it, apart from the Shakespeare.
