SEWER RAT 10,617
Controversy : http://netizenbuzz.blogspot.co.uk/2016/05/aoas-comeback-shrouded-by-seolhyun-and.html From AKP : Jimin apologized for the history quiz controversy that arose after the recent airing of AOA's reality show 'Channel AOA'. As previously reported, viewers expressed disapproval at Jimin and Seolhyun's inability to recognize Korean historical figures during a history quiz on the show. It seems the backlash was enough to spur an apology from AOA's leader. Jimin posted to Instagram: "Hello, this is AOA's Jimin. I took on the history quiz corner aired on OnStyle's 'Channel AOA' on May 3, and in that situation, I did not recognize Ahn Joong Geun's portrait. I even approached the subject lightly and showed an inappropriate attitude to many people. As a celebrity in the public eye, I sincerely apologize for causing people to disapprove because of my playful mindset. I apologize. No excuse will cover my mistake. Through this incident, I've learned that ignorance is the biggest mistake. I give my sincerest apologies and will deeply reflect on my actions. From now on, I'll do my best to have a knowledge of history I won't be embarrassed by not only as a celebrity, but as a Korean citizen. Once again, I deeply apologize for my mistake. I'm sorry. -posted by AOA's Jimin." I fucking know right? Some are asking them to do a Video Apology... Can you remove the symbols in the title, it's messing everyone's notifications. SLY 31,289
This is honestly so dumb. As far as I know, Koreans arent historically inclined to make a fuzz like this. I bet not all idols can answer that question correctly as well. Being an idol doesnt need to be any nerd or bookworm, they dont know the answer, so what? Not everyone studied well in their youth. And these girls are probably fed up with their dreams to even study well. Knetz create the dumbest and worst controversies ever.

Can you remove the symbols in the title, it's messing everyone's notifications. It's nuts. These companies give the fans too much power. Should've told them to fuck off, honestly. They're idols--not history experts. Idk, was the guy really famous? Like South Korea's version of Abe Lincoln? Now, an American celebrity would be called out for not knowing who he was. Even kids know him lol
nutella 6,108
honestly I dont know how this is a controversy, even if they got 2+2 wrong it is not that deep. Yeah, so they didnt know a very basic important historical figure. This is not a crime, it is just embarrassing.

Sailor Mars 1,981
lol @ aoa fans best believe any american celeb would be made fun of to death if they didnt know george washington, MLK jr, some celebs, Abe Lincoln, etc It's a scandal and they're getting in trouble not for a stupid reason but bc they didnt know their country's savior basically. So cheers to yall for trying to make it cute and jokes but i honestly find it sad :/ I hope all companies who don't give their idols schooling learn now that it's important. Beauty goes away, knowledge doesn't.
