Your_Fairytale 726
I’m so excited for this group. I’ve been waiting for Yiren and Sihyun to debut. What’s going to happen to Yena though? IZ*ONE still has 2 more years to go and adding her after 2 years seems kind of weird. It also seems like IZ*ONE will be be promoting in both Korea and Japan continuously so I don’t even think Yena has the free time to debut with them. Your_Fairytale 726
Well Sihyeon is definitely ‘glowing’ in that clip. I really didn’t expect Yuehua to be dropping teasers so soon but I’m glad they did. I wonder if this is the concept they’re going for for their actual debut or if this is just a way to introduce the members? The atmosphere of the clip really fits their group name so maybe it is their debut concept? I guess we’ll have to wait for the next member reveal. About Yena. Yuehua can maybe introduce her as a member and have her in Everglows future music videos and albums but not on their live stages till IZ*ONE disbands? This way fans can’t get mad when she joins 2 years later as she’s always been part of the group + she would already know all the songs and their choreographies.
Your_Fairytale 726
No, I'm not missing Fairytale's point. I think announce her as Everglow's member now and let her participating in group productions aren't very different with Sakura & Nako's case. When Yena became member of IZ*ONE, she has signed exclusive contract with Off The Record, which means they will handle 100% activities of her in 2.5 years. And if you think doing like Fairytale said is ok, why any Wanna One's members dare to do that before when they're still active too? I bet they'd get backlash like Sakura & Nako did. I understand where you’re coming from, that’s a valid opinion. Yena’s situation truly depends almost entirely on her promotions as an IZ*ONE member. If she manages to cater lots of fans during IZ*ONE promotions who are also willing to support her when the group disbands then she’s good. If the majority of those fans only like her as an IZ*ONE member however then she’s back to where she started before she went on Produce48. Like someone else said it would be better for Yena to leave Yuehua and join another company who is set to debut a new group cause I don’t see Yuehua debuting another group so soon. I don’t see Yena successfully debuting as a solo artist though because even though she’s pretty and has skills, she lacks individuality. She may stand out in a group but I don’t think she’ll stand out as a solo.
