Thanks so much for the translation, you're so fast  :derp:

Now I get the meaning of this MV :rlytearpls:  Previously unable to understand the lyrics, I thought the main character was such a psycho  :omg:

HAHAHAHAHA I rewatched the video to see it from your perspective (i.e. not understanding the lyrics at all), and he seems so crazy and psycho-like. Glad I can help you understand! I'll be happy to help you translate more songs next week. These songs are easy to translate because the lyrics are very literal. The songs I translated before were very poetic, so it took more time.  :derp:

Thank you for the offer  :chu:

I'm not really sure but it seems that nowadays chinese lyrics are becoming less poetic/figurative, which is regrettable because beautiful words can add so much charm to a song's artistry  :imstupid:  But overall when it comes to modern lyrics, IMO chinese music still outdoes japanese & korean, where engrish words are usually overused

I think æž—夕 (Lin Xi) and é»ƒå‰æ–‡ (Wyman Wong) still write pretty awesome lyrics for Chinese artists. I loooove all the songs they wrote for Kay Tse. It's sooo beautiful. Have you heard of this song:

It's one of my all time favorites <3

Such a beautiful song :lub: It was released in '09 but strangely reminds me of HK songs from the 90s  :rlytearpls:  It's in cantonese, is it?

What is the song about?  :derp: I'm excited about the meaning, the lyrics must be really great to impress you that much  :ahmagah:

Yep Cantonese. The title is called "Song of the Year," and it's a metaphor for how relationships and memories will just fade away with time (kinda like being the song of the year, and then the next year, people don't remember it anymore). I can translate it for fun for you tonight, just because this is just such a lovely song <3
