Double Diffuser: You would be right if you weren't wrong. JYP wasn't the judge who assisted them - it was YHY. Don't blame the sugary cuteness on him or YHY. I think it was a fatal combination for both of them - they were casted as the cute older sister - younger brother image. They both has different feels from the beginning. The series cast them in a role they just didn't mesh well with. I am not a huge fan of JYP or YG as I think they don't really care about finding good singers as they are brimming with talent at their agency BUT I think they weren't wrong in eliminating Something. I think the next season should all be smaller agencies as they could use the talent and will try looking for the best best star.

you don't even know what i'm talking about. When did I ever blame YHY? i was talking about this performance:

what I felt was their strongest performance was this FIRST one together. In this very performance, both YG and YHY praised the song. JYP criticized it as boring, but the overall response was favorable for this performance. it was only the subsequent performances that featured the gimmick sound effects and a very obvious increase in the bpm to make it more 'exciting' . It's not an accident this is where they took a turn for the worse.

Every stylistic change made after this performance was imo, to placate JYP's original critique here. Which to me as a listener, made their songs worse.

I never really liked them together. I found myself liking them until they became a team. I found myself like the boy' personality and charm ... Throughout the episodes but rarely any of their combined songs. But I do hope they both get more training and experience which allows them to shine successfully on stage - however it may come.

same, but only because i felt they were cut off early. I know that as long they can stay true to their musical style and learn up on songwriting/composition theory, they can succeed. Musical taste and style has to be organically grown, not simply because someone directs otherwise.

To be fair, i think they made a good combination (not because of the couple thing or wtv) but because they both had a similar mellow laidback style and the girl could cover up se woon's lack of experience in penning songs. I just don't know if i were the judges I would've pushed the songwriter label so far. I mean, it's not like they didn't have good voices/ ability to arrange existing songs.
