I'll be supporting Kwon Jin-ah for the rest of the show.  Good luck to those who were eliminated this week.  I hope they get recruited by big companies.

7) @Luce, ratings usually plummet as the top 10 progresses. Even for S2 that's what happened (checked wiki), i dont even remember watching the final performances. I absolutely hate the top 10 round. the performances usually aren't as good and everybody's favorites keep getting eliminated. At the end of the day, we have to still realize that all the contestants are still amateurs; not a single one is more likely to perform better with hundreds of eyeballs staring at them all at once. I'll probably stop watching once it gets to around top 3 when the winner is obvious *(or if kwon ah jin is eliminated, whichever comes first)

Same here.  I'd probably stop watching after Kwon Jin-ah gets eliminated.  That's what I did for Season 1 when Baek A Yeon got eliminated lol.  But then I ended up watching the last few rounds later in my free time.

ME TOO!!!! I've been supporting her this whole time!!! She's never failed in any performance her pitch is perfect, she has so much soul and presence. Beauty and brains, her voice is angelic!! She is what the next generation K-pop star should be like!!

Yea, Kwon Jin-ah is probably the only contestant that has been doing consistently well so far on the show.  After she covered Zion.T's 'See Through' last week, she basically proved to the judges and the audience that she will become a strong contender among the chosen Top 8.  

 

While I am sad that Something and Young-ju was eliminated today, I have to respect the judges decision because they did present reasonable criticisms.  However, I would disagree to those who say that their performances were boring and flawed.  There is a reason why the general public loves them.  And if you think that they were popular because of physical attractiveness bias alone, then you'd be sorely mistaken.

 

All of the contestants who passed this round deserved to be in the Top 8.  The same goes for those who were eliminated.  I really hope that there will be a talent agency that would be willing to recruit Jung Sae-woon, Kim A-yeon, and Nam Young-ju after the show ends.

Whatever happens, don't lose hope.  Don't try to focus too much on winning the competition.  Don't worry about failing either.  Treat it as an experience.  An experience that will help you improve your skills and to learn what it means to be a K-pop Star.

Did JIn  Ah have a bad perfomance ? Why does  she have the least points ?

No, she didn't and her score was actually very high compared to the rest.  She was among the Top 8 that got into the Top 4 as well.

Shorties won't be marketable as K-pop Stars, but as South Korean singers, I think they have endless potential.  They probably won't fare well against K-pop idols in the foreign market for obvious reasons, but I can see them garnering domestic appeal with their music and talents.  I have faith in them.

 

I think out of the 4 contestants that are left Sam Kim and Bernard most likely have higher chances of becoming successful as K-pop stars/idols.  Kwon Jin-ah musical style is a little different from the rest, so I had my doubts about her entering the K-pop industry.  But never say never!  We haven't seen everything she has to offer on the music stage.  Minzy praised her dancing skills on K-pop Star. 

 

 

 

^ I wonder if she can leave her guitar and try other styles of musical expressions.  It maybe risky, but it worked well with past contestants such as Baek A Yeon.

I read the spoilers on who got into the TOP4, but now I don't feel too motivated to watch this episode. Was it a worthwhile watch, or should I just wait until the final?

Putting my Kwon Jin-ah bias aside, I'd say it was worthwhile.  Everyone did great.  It's unfortunate that many great talents were eliminated from the show thus far, but there is only room for one winner.

It was to be expected.  Their performance today wasn't very good compared to last week.

At the same time, I'm happy for the ones who got in.  Especially Kwon Jin-ah.  I have a feeling she will win this season because she has been the most consistent among the Top 3.

The performance of both Bernard and Kwon Jin-ah were mediocre at best, which was unfortunate when considering their reputation.  

 

AND I don't see how the 'collaborations' had any effect on the results last night lol.  The special stages weren't being scored by the judges, nor would they have had a big impact on the voting results!  It has been very clear that both Sam Kim and Bernard had been very popular with the public and K-pop fans alike out of all the contestants.  Now of course I am not saying that the 2 boys got this far with their popularity alone.  They do indeed have talent, that is a fact.  However, there is no denying that the voting results have been quite biased and unreliable.  Most of the viewers of K-pop Star will vote for their favorites regardless of how great the performances of other contestants were.  Also, remember the votes are worth 40 percent of the final results in each round.  

 

Anyways, it doesn't matter who wins at this point.  The top 3 contestants always tend to be signed under some of the best South Korean record labels once the show is over.  Kwon Jin-ah is very talented, and she has the potential of becoming a great artist.  The judges has consistently praised her many times in her past performances, and said that she would be able to debut quicker than the others.
