I fucking love the shorties and Almeng. I thought YHY would cast Almeng was surprised he passed. I really dislike YG getting the shorties because I feel like he'll ruin them. YG does not know how to manage vocal groups. All his good vocalists left. I really disliked that he took them. Even his vocalists are a mess. I think Sam Kims weaknesses will become apparent when he goes solo. The judges should stop drooling and analyze his skills better. Bernard has the presence and voice to thrive but not Sam Kim. Brody's singing has improved but she needs to be trained a lot. I can see why YG didn't want that burden. I loveYHY a lot even before K-pop star so looking forward to his decisions.

 

Antenna will probably cast yung Ju (I think that's her name), Something and either Sam Kim or HeeJun. YHY has worked with a lot of good vocalists so I think he's looking for someone somewhat established yet slightly unrefined.

 

YG has probably already added Sam Kim into Team B in his mind, so his future is already secured. While that Bernard guy has great voice he's always just looking floor while performing and is too old for idol training. And kpop world is a harsh place for normal singer as you are competing over same target market as people like Lee Seung Chul etc. Also he isn't strikingly good looking so drama/CF side of business won't be wide open for him compared to insanely good looking actors and idols. Although I guess looks can be cured if he gets some plastic surgery like Seo In Guk did.

Something's biggest problem is that their voices don't really fit with each other, which really showed in the newest episode. Also the girl unfortunately lacks in looks department, so if they go into top10 as a duo they probably will get less votes than if the boy would be there alone (never underestimate fangirl thirst for d*).

If there is a forth season I hope they only accept people who have actual pop star potential. This season is like fucking voice, only ones I see having some star potential in top 8 is Sam Kim (if he learns to how to dance and joins some idol group) and the best singer in the shorties (though she needs some PS before becoming Korea's Whitney Houston).

Yup, people here often forget that in kpop industry appearance>>>>>>>>>>>>singing skills. Plus while they sing well their voices aren't very distinctive. I think Sam Kim and Kwon Jin Ah are most marketable out of TOP4, though Kwon Jin Ah needs to learn how to emote with her face and act more cutely if she wants to make it in kpop industry for long haul.
