Oliver 22,442 Posted May 9, 2016 Share Posted May 9, 2016 Ever since last summer G Soul has been liking shady tweets about his lack of promotions and in February it was announced that G Soul and San E will be releasing a song together.. only to find out that it wasn't even going to be a JYP release but a KT Music release.. fans started complaining and then other idiots kept saying that its G soul's choice and he doesnt want to be promoted.. which lead him to tweet this.. which he deleted a while after.. his promotions were disgustingly awful.. just take a look at this http://onehallyu.com/topic/190623-g-souls-schedule-is-just-epic/ but after a year and a half into his debut and 16 years since he became a trainee.. he is finally getting some sort of attention.. G.Soul music style is not JYP music style, so I'm the 1st here to say that he should move to another company. G.Soul simply doesn't fit JYPent music style, just like San.E also didn't. about the 16 years, let's not forget that JYP called G.Soul to come back to Korea in 2011 to have a role in the drama Dream High, but G.Soul refused; considering the high popularity of the drama, that could have been his great opportunity to have a silver debut in K-entertainment world. G.Soul is currently working with Paul Thompson as a producer. Paul is the guy behind Taemin Drip Drop and NCT debut song, so G.Soul is not jobless despite not promoting on screen, he's getting some money working behind the scenes. I would be one of the first to confess I don't understand JYPE and their mismanagement of some of their artists but I don't think threatening or blackmail was involved. G.Soul is not really succesfull neither bankable, he has 0 negotation power, i doubt that he can threaten JYPE. KT music is a distribution company owned and used by JYP (and SM and YG and others) G.soul is not an idol, he has already in 1 year more promotions than most solo artists in other indie labels _In 1 year he got Coming Home, Dirty, Love me again albums and he will have a comeback soon _He had great pre-debut exposition (hype being longest trainee, being the core of US advancement, R.Kelly protege, feat in GOD album, OSTs in several JYP concerts...) _He can't do variety as much as an idol, but he got some TV exposure (Sketchbook, soon radiostar), several live videos on JYP youtube channel, radio appearances, live, festivals... I don't know what they could do more especially for an artist non really bankable in Korea who is already 27 and not popular (more difficult to put him/ receive invitations).
