if wolf was on a musical CD do you think people would start liking the song?

i think they would

i mean, the song doesn't make sense with the rest of the album. it just tells a story and then it ends.

if the song was made for a musical cd like Razia's Shadow: A musical by Forgive Durden (can't post links cause i'm on my phone, but if you what look for it) i think people would stop saying that this song is the worst from this century.

i think Exo would be amazing in this type of music.

Let me remind you why Wolf will always be considered a crappy song

I'll take you in one mouthful like cheese

I've lost strength in my toenail

Wolf is also my guilty pleasure. The first time I listen to it I hated it but after the 10th or so listen, I actually ended up sort of liking it. This song made me glad for the first time that I didn't understand the language. Imagine having to understand these lyrics every time you listen to the song. Its too cringeworthy and repackaging it isn't going to make it any better.

"The lyrics are so cring-worthy"

Yes, yes, Kpop is filled with meaningful lyrics which actually make sense 100% always and we all feel superior by listening to them /sarcastic mode on

Like among SM groups f(x) are famous for having bad lyrics yet catchy and addictive songs /that's just an example I'm an f(x) fan, mind you~

Anyway .... I'm not defending the song from being a bad song but just saying how the focus is on the lyrics all the freaking time /I didn't know everyone takes the lyrics so seriously, you know/ I don't force anyone to like the song simply bcuz different people, different tastes. I grew to like the beat and I have the instrumental ver. of Wolf but it's not as bad as people wanna make the song to be.

I'm probably among a few fans for saying this .... I bet if it wasn't about lyrics it would be the over-used dub-step or how auto-tuned the song is etc etc.

Just my opinion, no need to take it seriously.

Waiting for someone with "Wolf is the worst song this year and even EXO fans hate it. Period"  Because everyone shares the same music taste! -_-

No.  The lyrics as written is still the problem.  Just because it's a story doesn't make it 1) a good story or 2) a well-written story.  (Of course, lots of popular books are terribly written, but oh well.)  Do musicals really tolerate a lot of terrible talk-rapping, too?

I like Wolf  :ahmagah:

I think it fits well with the concept of XOXO album because the story is about a werewolf falling in love with a human girl.

Other songs in XOXO also have fantasy related themes:

Baby don't cry tells the story of the Mermaid.

Black Pearl was inspired from Pirates of the Caribbean.

Peter Pan and Tinkerbell.

The Korean name of Don't go is Butterfly Girl (I remember there's an Asian story about a girl becoming a butterfly and fly away).

Let out the beast is somehow related to Beauty and the Beast.

Wolf is not that bad. It's not my fave song, but not the one I like the least.. Idk why they pronounced it as oolf in the real song when in the demo they said it as 'wolf' with a better pronunciation than myself so...

But honestly, not everyone hates that song. Plus, all the other amazing songs in the XOXO album kinda like make up for it.

the lyrics would change to fit in the concept. i mean, overall the song is ok.

i think both performance and production is actually something that should be noticed instead of always complaining about how awful the lyrics are.

don't know why people always have this shitty excuse to say why the song is bad when IGAB was way worse.
