According to the initial report from May 6, Jellyfish Entertainment is planning to launch the new girl group on June 13. The group reportedly plans to have seven members, including Kim Sejeong, Kang Mina, and Kim Nayoung. All three trainees participated in the Mnet program “Produce 101,†though only Kim Sejeong and Kang Mina went on to debut with I.O.I. However, Jellyfish denies the report, telling Ilgan Sports, “Our agency has been planning to debut a girl group for a while. We have not yet decided on a fixed debut day, nor who will be members. The reports are untrue.†Jellyfish continues, “We have not yet decided whether or not Kim Sejeong and Kang Mina, who are promoting with I.O.I, will be member of the new group. Seriously, watching 2 eps of Standby IOI and that one VLive they did, they've said things along the lines of "We have so many schedules," "It's tiring but it's fun," "we stayed up til ??AM for the shoot," "Wish we had more time to rehearse," "We didn't have that much time," and other variations of those so many times, you can tell they're tired as is. This is the 3rd article in the past few weeks that continue to mention an upcoming debut for Sejung, Mina + other jellyfish girls. & plus, jellyfish staff stated months ago that the original plan was to debut their group in may or june. Hopefully they learn from Eunbin/CLC situation & just wait. Just like how Eunbin situation was seen as clashing & a disruption with Produce 101 [which caused her popularity to fall], the Jellyfish girl group will be seen as clashing & a disruption with the IOI promotions.Like the two girls are already receiving negativity from the whole thing Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
