Teru 22,363 Posted November 20, 2013 Share Posted November 20, 2013 the first song you remember hearing, since your memory doesn't kick in until after a few years of course. a commercial song rather than someone singing a song to you. so no lullabies, more like a song on the radio, on TV, or someone playing a record/cassette/CD, whatever. can you remember? I like to ask people this and it usually gets them thinkin'... for me, my earliest memory of a song is hearing Rock Around the Clock by Bill Haley and the Comets when I was in nursery school around 1989. But one I do know that I heard very early on when was Heaven by Bryan Adams when I was 6 or 7. My dad used to play his stuff over and over in the house or in the car back then. I dunno why I remember mine. but then I remember insignificant things. like I have an extremely vivid memory of sitting in my parents' parked Ford Montego in 1995 listening to Waterfalls by TLC on the radio even though literally nothing of interest was happening. but I remember it like I was there yesterday... brains...
