The members were named after their favorite artists as you can see in their introductions. MIXX is made up of Korean members (Heeu, Mia) and Chinese members ( Hanna, Arie, Liyah) Those who crossed the boarders and met, boasted a strong friendship beyond language barriers.

 

Q: Do you like K-POP? Who is your favorite singer?

 

HEEU: "I love IU alot. I got my name HeeJae and made it Heeu because I love IU. Why is IU so amazing? IU is a versatile Singer-Song writer. She's good at acting and is very funny in entertainment programs. It is my dream to be actively active in various fields."

 

 

Arie: "I love BoA. I've been interested in K-POP and have liked it since I was a kid. I fell in love with BoA's live stages and dreamed of becoming a singer"

 

Q: Let's praise each others charms ( Liyah - Mia - Hanna - Arie - Heeu order)

 

LIYAH: "Mia is tall and has the force of a model. Her eyes are pretty. She has a cute and wacky charm. She looks cute while she's eating (Laughs)"

 

 

 

MIA: "Hanna's first impression was chick and intimidating/scary? Pretty, cool impression, But the more you know/see, the more charms you see. And doesn't she resemble "Tang Wei"?

 

 

HANNA: "Everything about Arie is cute. Ah! She dances really good!! She looks like a chick (Laughs)"

 

ARIE: "Heeu Unnie is the best at Korean. í•œêµ­ì¸ì´ë¼ì„œ 보다 제가 ë§í•˜ëŠ” ê²ƒë„ ìž˜ 알아들어요. (I'm confused by this sentence sorry D: ) and her voice is sweet! It's lovely!"

 

HEEU: "Liyah is the youngest of the team and she is very versatile. Song writing, Composing, Dancing and Rapping. She's called "순둥ì´" but she is very cute like a baby. She dances boy group dances."

 

MIXX members were really lively and lovely. They also showed an aggressive attitude towards the question about "Personal Talents/Specialties" 

 

 

 

LIYAH: "I can put my hands in my mouth. (I tried to do it myself) I can also make the expression of a Shiba Inu Dog."

 

MIA: "I can cry in 10 seconds."

 

ARIE: "I have a good body. When I was little I learned different kinds of dance including Ballet, Latin, Chinese Dance, Modern Dance, and Korean Dance. I think I have advantages in K-POP because I've learned various dances."

 

HEEU: "I am good at Hand Marble air game (I don't know the official name). I have a strong desire to win, If I can't do it then I'm drunk. I've also practiced it with my left hand because I wanted to be good at the hand marble air game."

 

LIYAH: "Boy group dances and Freestyle dancing, I like BTS because they are so good at dancing."

 

Q. What are your future aspirations?

 

HEEU: "I'm a long-time trainee and I'm happy to be standing in the group called "MIXX". I hope our passion will be good and well-received (iffy about the last part)"

MIXX revealed a profile photo of their 2nd new addition to the team, member Heeyu!

According to their label ChiKo Entertainment, Heeyu is "multitalented in all fields including singing and dancing, on top of her doll-like beauty." She was also previously seen on Mnet's 'Survival: Search for Momoland'.

MIXX will be returning as a 5-member group with new members Heeyu and Mia, as well as their original members Hana, Ari, and Lia. Their new single, "Love Suddenly", is set for January 5!

Very Rough translation from me!! I'm sorry about how rough it'll be but I'm not fluent.

 

 

 

In May 2016, "Oh Ma Mind" was released from the 4 member girl group "MIXX" which captivated the audience and is now re-organized as a five member group (MIXX - Hanna, Heeu, Mia, Liyah, Arie) As a newcomer they took a long 8-month break and are coming back with a new song " Love Is A Sudden (ì‚¬ëž‘ì€ ê°‘ìžê¸°)"

 

"Love Is A Sudden (â€˜ì‚¬ëž‘ì€ ê°‘ìžê¸°)" is a Hip Hop, R&B based song and it is going to give a variety of emotions because of the bold confession to the Shyness and pureness of the five girls who experience their first love. (Very rough translation the one that makes sense to me)

 

MIXX has been a hot topic since debut which is because they are a multinational group. Usually in idol groups there are one or two foreigners these days but MIXX has attracted attention of fans because of the uniqueness of  3 out of the five members being Chinese.

 

The Chinese members are the leader and eldest - Hanna and the Maknae Line Liyah and Arie. I wonder what has made you active in Korea.

 

ARIE: I passed the audition in China and joined MIXX. We have a Chinese company and a Korean Company. So we have been active in China for 1 1/2 years and in Korea for 1/2 year. We happily made our debut in Korea."

 

In fact, when I asked each member to introduce themselves to me before the interview it was hard to determine who were the Chinese members and who were the Korean members. It's proof that they have adapted to Korea just as much as I am. (Last part is iffy in translation)

 

After debuting in May they didn't have another song until now 8 months later and did not have any Korea activities. So I can't help but be excited for the comeback.

 

ARIE: "I couldn't speak Korean well. So I spent 2 weeks in Korea and went back to China to go to schedules. Since we have new members now I've been practicing more and it seems that we have adjusted well to each other It seems that fans were getting nervous about us because of our long break"

 

 

During the break, the existing members welcomed two new members. Korean members Heeu and Mia joined the group and are making their debut as MIXX. I thought it would feel uncomfortable for the new members because of the activities that the group has already done but Heeu and Mia had already been trainees for a good amount of time and had an active trainee life.

 

HEEU: "I was contacted by the company right after I was eliminated from "Finding Momoland". So I joined without worrying and started practicing together. I joined the team a little earlier then Mia so I was worried about living with foreigners until Mia came in. Arie is the best at Korean of the three so I didn't have to much trouble communicating."

 

MIA: "I've been a trainee for 5 years now. Then I thought that I was to tall to be a singer so I didn't think I would fit in a girl group. So while I was thinking about changing my career that's when I had the chance to join MIXX. Actually, Before I joined MIXX I thought there was only one Chinese member but when I found out there were three Chinese members I got worried. However, when I was staying together, Just like Heeu I was able to communicate and talk well. I thought there would be a big culture difference but it wasn't that big and I was able to adapt quickly."

 

Three out of the five members are Chinese so they have good strengths. The fact that the Chinese fandom of the group is more then other teams. The interest has been extended to the new member Heeu.

 

ARIE: "When we were on stage in Busan at B.O.F, Heeu stood on stage with us for the first time. When it was uploaded onto Weibo in China, Chinese fans seemed to be really interested. I think that was really amazing. Especially unlike the usual new girl groups in China Our team is interesting because we have many Chinese members.I think this is really good."

Also, Heeu and Mia have been into music since childhood. They've come closer to being a girl group because of their natural talent.

 

 

Heeu loves IU and Park Hyoshin. Liyah loves SNSD Tiffany. Arie has longed to see the live stage of BoA. Mia confessed to be impressed by the song "See You Again" by Charlie Puth.

 

All the members have greed for music, It's a group that made their debut and are making their comeback by trying to be like their seniors they've been looking up to since childhood. What is MIXX's strengths to survive in the music industry where there are a lot of girl groups pouring out right now?

 

HEEU: "I think Chinese is the most confident in our team. We are the only girl group with over half of the members are Chinese. Also our team music style is R&B Based and our whole team role model is F(X). Now we're young and innocent but in the future I would like to show more hip hop and a more mature image. (???)  I think having MIXX's variety of character/color is our strongest point. Also, There are a lot of key differences between all the members. There are a lot of charms as a team but if there is a chance there is a lot of charm/thought of doing unit activities (???)"

 

In fact, MIXX members have different style of music that they like to listen to and do. It means that MIXX are ready to show various things as one team. Now all you have to do is to show the charm. As soon as the viel's of MIXX's charms are revealed one by one it won't be long for MIXX to change once again.

 

HEEU: "Mia and I are shaking and getting nervous because we are praying for our debut stage. I don't think I can feel it yet. We want to be a group that can show a new look for every concept because our nationality is wide and our team members have various personalities. I want to announced MIXX through the song "Love Is A Sudden (ì‚¬ëž‘ì€ ê°‘ìžê¸°)".

 

With the start of the new year of 2017, MIXX will start again. Though you're being thrown into the fierce competition, if you don't forget your identity there will be a time that you will fly higher.
