As Kpopiscool_101 said, you can buy these little squares on the marketplace. Click on the WonHallyu square at the top of the page, then "Shop." Albums and lightsticks are usually 2,500 won, and you have 41,795, so you can buy plenty!

7000 physical! That's all kinds of awesome. I remember when we were all frothing at the mouth when they were about to hit 5K.

So many feels this Sunday morning. My boys can't be doing this to me every time they go overseas, it's not good for my high blood pressure. 

 

 

In "Congratulations," none of the guys could finish (or in Wonpil's case, even start) their part of the chorus because they were crying so hard. Sungjin finally took over for the last two lines, but even he was teary. There's something so moving about a musician crying over their instrument. It's like the art is just too powerful.

I love that they keep mentioning WG as the sunbaes who take care of them, are close to them, etc. Maybe as a result of sharing the band practice room, eh?   #WONDERDAY

Man I was good all through the cake and the banner BUT THEN you guys just HAD to flip it and man.... The feels haha.

 

So what was on the second side of the banner? The "Let's walk together from now on"? I noticed Jae didn't cry until his second verse. He finished singing and turned around so quick to wipe his tears, haha. It's okay, man, you don't have to hide. 

 

So I guess this means Dowoon did cry. Somewhere, at some point. He's always upstage behind Sungjin, though, so it's much harder to catch him in the act. #fancamgoals

 

I'm so glad they're exactly the kind of artists they want to be.

Doesn't surprise me the boys are learning Japanese (or maybe just a few key members). They're definitely suited for that market.

 

Wonpil and Sungjin are the mom and dad, of course they're easy to wake up! My parents are the same way. If you do so much as breathe in the same room as my mother, she wakes up. And why do I find it so fittingly cute that Sungjin's voice is similar to Young K's real dad's voice.

 

I hope they do a V video where they show their dorm. Or a RealDAY6, or something. Would be interesting to see who the roommates are.

When I first saw this interview, I had a feeling Sungjin knew and was just playing dumb because he's the leader and has to be PC. Junhyeok, too, since he glossed over it with a very vague, Oh, everyone could relate to this song, etc. But later when the MC called out Young K and he didn't deny it, I was like HA, I KNEW IT!

The more we learn about Young K, the more I realize he's genuinely my type.

what do you like from him ?

 

It's just his energy, you know? He has this gentle, pleasant charisma. Makes you feel comfortable. Specifically when they mentioned that he walks around like Tarzan at the dorm, I thought, yep, I like people who are comfortable in their own skin.

the difficulty of taking dowoon's photo:

- there are many stages that have no lighting on drum side

- drum position is so faaar inside

- drum keeps covering his face

- if the drum doesn't, then the drum stick does

- if both don't, then sungjin does

- if all of them don't, them sungjin's guitar does..

All righty, November poll is up. Whose vocal color do you prefer?

 

There was one resounding comment from everyone when DAY6 debuted (and pre-debut followers already knew this to be true); everyone in the group can sing. Not just sing, but saaaang. So I thought it would be interesting to see whose color you prefer, as the five main singers all have very distinct tones. 

 

Sungjin is solid as a rock for me, really strong head voice. He also has this sexy catch in his voice that really comes out during live performances. In the studio they probably smooth him over as much as possible, but I like that scratchiness. I like raw voices.

 

Jae's voice is soft and sweet, but he can put some lung power behind it, too. What I really took note of way back during K-Pop Star, and that he still does now, was his tendency to spin air in his chest register. A very JYPish technique, so he fits in the company perfectly. I described it as resonant in the poll. There's a frequency that always vibrates in the smoothness of his tone.

 

Junhyeok's voice is very bright, almost brassy at times. Very straight tone, little to no vibrato, and AGILE AS F*CK! He can slide between notes like a ninja. (I always have a particular jealousy for agile singers, as my agility is average at best. *sadface*) Overall, I like his voice for the group, since I know he'll always nail the high, bright parts of songs, but individually, not as effective for me.

 

Young K was my choice in the poll, because as I said, I like raw voices. He has a darker tone, but it's very clear, so his voice is just full and rich. Love it. 

 

Wonpil is a combination of the best from Jae and Junhyeok. Naturally bright tone but he also spins air, so he has resonance. He also does this really cool dip at the end of most of his lines. It's like a quarter second of breath/vocal fry that finishes each line perfectly. I'm sure it's unconscious, but it's great, especially for rock.

 

And I've only heard Dowoon sing once, so I can't craft a full opinion yet. What I heard, though, is definitely in line with his speaking voice--dark and husky.

YOUNG K a.k.a BRIAN Probably the manliest of the group hihi. He has a really dynamic voice and should I say flexible (I don't know if its the right word to describe a person's vocal tone) at times. His voice automatically changes according to the song he sings. For me its the most difficult voice to identify. While I was listening to the audio version of their album for the first time, I find it hard to recognize Young K's voice.

DOWOON I've never heard him sing except that time he said/ sang  "wae gueresso baby" hahhah. But I bet with more training he can be the T.O.P's voice of the group with his low deep voice since we already have a GD in the group i.e Young K 

 

Word. It took me a little while to learn Brian's voice, as it changes like a chameleon. Sometimes I figured out it was him just by process of elimination.
