sparkilene 5,738
Mamamoo has been lowkey ballin' since the Um Oh Ah Yeh era. (Photos by Mamamoo Style) Here's Solar rocking a commes des garcon cardigan worth $355 Solar seems to be a fan of that brand in general Click here to view the Tweet Moonbyul on her way to record a music show holding a Thom Browne purse worth $999.09 Hwasa wearing two Yves Saint Laurent and Louis Vutton accessories worth $1550 and $1760 respectively. Considering how common the story of the idol saddled with massive debts from training and promotional expensive is, I think it is amazing that Mamamoo has already been successful enough to get paid from their promotions. Of course I think some of that goes to RBW being cheapsmart with their money so they probably didn't have a lot of debt to pay off in the first place. EDIT: Apparently people are still skeptical that Mamamoo is being paid. Solar is on record in this radio interview on 7/10/2015 (so a couple of weeks after UOAY promotions began) saying that she got paid and she gave the money from her first paycheck to her mom. It wasn't a lot, just $200 but considering that they hadn't hit it big and the crazy festival schedules hadn't yet begun, it's still an accomplishment. And if they were already making enough to get paid then, they're definitely getting paid now. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1cGpAW9Sjz4dktOSm94c2t4c0E/view(start around 29:10)

ImInCloud13 10,942
Mess are those dollars or Won? Because those cheap ass clothes Solar is wearing can't cost that much, like I can buy something exactly the same in the gypsy market of my town for 5€
YamaChan 11,194
Mamamoo getting paid. They're averaging around 20,000 USD for every festival they attend (remember how many they did before their recent comeback?) and are considered by industry experts to be the most marketable K-Pop group from March until now. Get that won!

sparkilene 5,738
Or those are fan gif or endorsement. I'm 99% sure none of the items in the op are fan gifts, cause none of the big fansites or fans have ever made mention of it. Also I feel like if Yves Saint Laurent and Louis Vutton were endorsing them, RBW would be mediaplaying it.

HugeBoi Minos Wife 40,568
I believe it. Mamamoo was the only girl group in the power brand ranking top 10 this month, their CF power is quite amazing and we all know celebs make a lot of money thanks to Cf deals so I think they're in a comfortable place right now. i'm not sure if you mean that they are sponsored by the clothing company or if you mean they have sponsors ala GNA. obviously sponsored by other brands lmao

sofi 17,143
Well they're a very successful girl group, they have CFs and do many festivals performances so it seems perfectly reasonable
♪CANVAS♪ 610
They were basically doing non-stop college/festival perfs since UOAY ended to a few weeks before YTB promos. They now cost near $20k for a perf. Most of the group will be getting extra revenue for writing credits in various songs (Solar and MB in YTB and UOAY, for example). Furthermore, they'll be getting paid for TV appearances, CFs, photoshoots... Featurings, of which there were plenty last year and I am sure it will continue this year. They are steadily beginning to rake in all the won. Hell all the girls have their own places and pay their own rents now.
smileyman 1,364
Hell all the girls have their own places and pay their own rents now. Do they pay their own rent? I know they have their own places but I was under the impression that it was the label who set them up with those. Obviously that doesn't necessarily mean that they're not also paying their own rents, but it seemed like it was RBW doing that (though I guess it could have started out with RBW paying deposits/rents/utilities, etc. and then the girls taking over as they started to get paid more). im not saying they arent getting paid( since they are a succesful group) but you realise it could be from sponsor ? I doubt it. If they were being sponsored then you'd see all of the girls wearing the same items (or at least similar items from the same brand). There are pictures of them wearing the same winter coats, for example, and you know that those coats were probably sponsored by that brand. Or if we take a look at BTS, it's pretty obvious when they're being sponsored. When they did the Puma shoot all of them ended up with various gear with Puma logos on it. Or this most recent shoot which was sponsored by Gucci--thus they all were wearing clothing by Gucci. I haven't seen anything like that with Mamamoo. Sure they all wear the same thing on stage outfits, but it's either pretty cheap stuff (relatively speaking), or during the last promotions it was stuff that was designed by fans and so was custom made for Mamamoo. I'm not 100% sure. I think I read/heard that in some interview or show they did? I genuinely can't remember rn tho. Or maybe I just took RBW setting them up as 'RBW helped them find a place/acted as a guarantor and what have you'.
