Somi and Chungha are English speakers

 

Nayoung lived in Japan so she speaks Japanese

 

Pinky is Chinese so she speaks Mandarin (and highly likely Shanghainese)

 

 

it's pretty amazing to think about because this group was 'produced' by the audience and not by a company but this group i can see being very relatable and connected to international fans....

technically the votes had a say on who got in, despite the fact that airtime had a LOT to do with it

 

still doesnt change the fact that they were voted members 

 

people really like criticizing the edits of reality shows but people should understand they operate on the concept of gaining ratings

Well they certainly don't have that corporate, engineered feel. Their aesthetics are not all that congruent. Every girl looks different. That's a part of their charm.

 

 

you could really tell they came from different companies and i really feel that it lessens their 'manufactured' feel

 

other girl groups are more 'polished' and 'perfect' in a way but the fact that barely any groups has the rawness IOI has really adds to their selling point
