About the webtoon / drama adaptation:

 

"It’s a cohabitation drama about a ghost and an exorcist; how’s that for opposites attract? The webtoon by Imins is about a 17-year-old boy who can see ghosts and decides to use his abilities to expel other people’s ghosts for a nominal fee. He puts up an ad online and takes gigs as an exorcist like it’s his after school job, and one day he meets a schoolgirl ghost who fights back. (And by fight, I mean physical knock-down brawls, comic-book-style.)

 

They seem intent on killing each other in that initial meeting, but during the fight they accidentally kiss, leading to a sudden tonal shift from action-suspense to romantic-comedy. The webtoon is very cute, despite the violence and the swearing (which will have to be toned way down for television anyway).

 

Kim So-hyun will play a 19-year-old senior who died in an accident just a day before her college entrance exam. She did nothing but study her whole life, so as a ghost she’s curious about all sorts of things. She binge-watches all the dramas she missed out on, and also becomes aware of boys for the first time. As she starts living with the exorcist boy, she’ll start getting involved in other ghosts’ lives and help them with their problems, helping them to pass on to the afterlife."

Jisoo please, I want to see them together again.  :la:

 

Taecyeon seems a bit miscast for the role if he does choose to accept. 

Almost everyone wants Jisoo as the male lead!! Oh god I really hope they do cast him instead of Taecyeon  :cry:

Jisoo can pull off the high schooler look more than Taecyeon tbh

The people have spoken! Taecyeon really looks like a grown man, no way around it. Which isn't bad per se, but Jisoo definitely suits the role better.

I'm so going to be angry if their reason for casting Taecyeon (well if they really do cast him) is that they will age up Bongpal from the start. It makes everything uninteresting :soul: Plus in the webtoon, Hyunji and Bongpal have several kiss scenes. Like idk why will you make an almost 30 year old man kiss a 16 year old girl (well 18 in Korea lol confusing age system thing)? lol idk i'm just disappointed with the male lead news sorry  :cry:

Scarlet Heart and Doctors are both pre-produced dramas. Since Let's Fight Ghost isn't pre-produced, by the time they start filming, Jisoo would be done filming both Scarlet Heart and Doctors (well maybe almost done for Scarlet Heart's case).

So yeah there's a big possibility that his schedule will permit it if he gets casted (drama gods please hear our pleas  :ohpressor: )

Judging by the description Taec isn't a good match.  First he looks nowhere near 17 and Soo Hyun definitely doesn't look older than him.  I wonder on what basis they cast him.  He does not give off that young boy vibe at all.

Taecyeon 11 years older than Kim So Hyun

Yoon Shi yoon is 13 years older than Kim Sae Ron

Park Bo Gum is 6 years older than Kim Yoo Jung

 

all three of them are teenagers why are they being casted as female leads and being partnered with way older men?

I kinda actually agree now with the PBG and KYJ casting since they fit the character description well. The Crown Prince is in his early twenties while Hong Ra On is in her late teens in the webtoon. I'm still a bit iffy about their chemistry but the visuals and acting will surely be topnotch ( + KYJ is the saguek princess). Jisoo is a 93 liner as well but he had great chemistry with KSH in Page Turner despite the age difference (well mainly because Jisoo can still pass off as a high schooler with his looks lol).

 

edit: Yoon Shiyoon and Kim Saeron as potential lovers on Mirror of the Witch tho. Nope  :imstupid:

I am so conflicted. I want to see him in a drama but this role doesn't suit him and the hate for him at dramabeans is real. My poor fangirl heart can't take it :(

 

I hope if he pass this position, he pass it to some jype actor. There are a lot of good and young actors in jype.

please do the right casting for the male lead

the male lead suppose to be 17 years old and younger than the ghost ( kim so hyun)

there's couple of young actors that can pass as high schooler + good acting e.g Kwak Dong Yeon, Park Guntae, Kang Chanhee
