Speculation time. Soyeon's first IG post is a posed photo of her and Somi. What if all 3 ex-Fave girls and the now free agent Somi are forming a new Girlcrush concept girl group?

 

I'd be first in line to buy their new album......

 

 

YESSSS!!!! I went away for like 2 weeks, and come back to all this news. I felt like FAVE was restricting them anyway. (But now I have no reason to follow FAVE girls anymore because my favorite 3 trainees left)

 

Can Soomin, Soyeon, Bowon, Somi (and Sohee in my deluded world where she leaves ELRIS) just form a group!?!?

 

Seriously, they go so well together... powerful/ cool girl vibe (idk about Bowon because I see her as more cutesy, but I'm sure she can do it)

With somi's public recognition and star potential,soomin's well aware great vocal skills and colour plus she could compose music & soyeon's undeniable dancing skills. They could create a magistic trio with self compose song and soyeon's self create dance routine. Definitely gonna hit big. A delusional dream that I wish somehow could come true.

Last instagram looks like Soomin is in a minivan usually used by entertainment companies for ferrying their idols/trainees. Don't tell me Soomin has already signed with another agency??

You can find she in the same car and clothes from one of the selca during mixnine.

if this is Soomin's new look.... wow...  she's taking a page out of Mina & Yeonjung's diet book... just trust that she stays healthy and is fast recovering from the December accident...   if not fully healed...  also hope that the Fave drama hasn't hurt her confidence...  such a huge pity that she wasn't on Produce 48...   but having said that...  I love the final line-up and I would hesitate to decide who to leave out....  just saying...

Yeah I think, at least for now, they are both doing with trying to be idols.  And that sucks because god knows they are both talented enough for it.  But whatever went down in LOEN has probably been the straw that broke the camels back as far as Soomin is concerned.

 

I think she will probably come back as a solo act now if she can find the right label to represent her.

I'm confused why YG hasn't recommended Soomin to his subsidiary, The Black Label (TBL). YG showed an obvious favoritism towards Soomin in Kpop Star and MIXNINE.  Now that she's a free agent, she can finally be signed!

 

Jeon Somi signed with TBL within a month of leaving JYP... now if only they would sign Soomin and Soyeon too -- they would make an awesome girl crush group.

That's gonna be an awesome team but from the collected reply from her Instagram live and q&a you can see that she's trying to be a soloist now instead of in a group.But who knows right what's gonna happened in the future.

 

They could form a really nice girl crush team you could ever asked for.

Here's a great summary of Soomin's time on Mixnine and also a good reminder to her fans why she's such a all round talent. English subs are included. Watching it just makes me all the more sure that Soomin is destined to be a Kpop girl group and a great and famous one at that.

They could have just been asked to leave because they didn't fit the concept, or left themselves because they didn't want the concept Fave was going for. Though it still sucks all around because she could be debuting soon.

What impresses me is how articulate Soomin is in English, almost as if she thinks and speaks in English like a native. And how firm she is in her convictions and her willingness to take the risks and not the safe route.

This concerns me a little tho.  She stated that she never felt happy or safe (safe as in her debut was never safe or safe in that they were overworking and mistreating her potentially?

 

I just have to wonder what went down at the end -  especially with the exodus of the big names in their trainees.  We may never know, just as long as she is happy now, thats the main thing.

Don't mind me saying this but Soomin strikes me as a very headstrong person. It's good to have the strength of your conviction but sometimes a little compromise can go a long way.
