I'm so glad this thread exists..SooMin is so talented and she already has a fanbase, why is no one signing her up already T_T I wish she'll get signed up and debut in a girl group where she can freely

Another throwback Sunday. Soomin's first interview on Kpopstar 6 with English translation :

 

 

 

I remember this clip, the interesting thing is that when you look back at all the news articles back then, they were all suggesting that Soomin had given up her dreams and was leaving the industry...  in retrospect, it was likely that Fantagio had decided not to include her in Weki hence her departure and there was likely little she could say without her words being twisted...  But I'm really glad that it looks like Soomin could part of a group that is even bigger then Weki....  

 

Congrats to Favegirl's Lee Soomin for graduating Highschool today :

 

 

 

Which high school is that' I can't seem to find any reference...  albeit that someone will likely identify the uniform...

Korean fans are planning a commemorative public advertisement as well as a gift for Soomin's birthday on March 28.

 

 

 

They also made provisions for international fans who want to contribute to Soomin's birthday gift but who don't know how to navigate dcinside.

 

 

 

 

FYI, twitter user @lovelysoomin1 is a longtime Korean fan of Soomin who has a youtube channel where he posts his fancams of Soomin.

Just a reminder : Soomin's birthday is coming up on 28 March.

 

 

Also if I may permit myself a mini-rant :

 

 

 

I see on twitter a small backlash against Soomin fans from the Favegirls fandom, accusing Soomin fans of being akgae.

 

I acknowledge that sometimes Soomin fans can be overboard asking for Soomin when the other Favegirls make posts on social media.

 

However :

 

1) I think some are actually trolls trying to incite hatred against Soomin from the Favegirl fanbase

 

2) Soomin is actually underrepresented in Favegirls' social media considering her general public recognition and popularity

 

3) I feel like Soomin fans and other Favegirls fans are an awkward fit. The other Favegirls fans tend to like the girlish bubbly cute personas while Soomin is more cool and chic, so our fanbases tend to be polar opposites.

 

4) Sometimes I feel like an unwanted alien as a Soomin fan when seeing other Favegirls fans interact.

If we look from their POV it might seems troublesome that some of us keep on looking for soom under the other girls photo which i truly understand. This does not only applies to fave girls but to every group where they have at least one particular popular girl and it happen to be soomim here

 

As for now i saw most of them only leave message looking for her under group photo of the girls but not individual which i found the best way to being less rude to the girls but still ofc there's some as well which i cant denied.

 

Tbh i truly dont understand what is the problem for us to crave for soom`s update because it has been almost a month since we last got one. I hope this issue stop here as we all truly care for the all the 10+yerim and wish them to success as group.

 

Btw that just my two cents opinion which only reflects my own pov not the rest of soom's fans which i am afraid will backlash them later.

 

I hope we can get Soomin's latest update soon cause i miss her lol
