I just wished they would come to my country, honestly (my favorite track will never be played live anyway) There was a Music Bank concert here this year but they didn't come... And then they went to the one in Mexico about 4 months later <//3 (although my bias wouldn't come since it was EXO-K, but... Squishy ) I'm sorry if you've spoken of this in the last 2724 pages, but I just can't look them all up now (for obvious reasons). So I'll ask here: does anybody know whether EXO will still have a comeback this year? What are your thoughts on this matter? For me, I'd rather they finish their concerts and go rest for a good couple of months, they are seriously overworked... On the other hand, since two members have been lost since the last comeback, perhaps making an album with OT10 (;A;) would somehow bring back some happiness and stability to the fandom... 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Anyway, do you guys think they will still record tracks separately or all tracks will be ot10? If they're all ot10... I'm sorry for Minseok, Sehun and Kai. I think only title tracks will be ot10 ... The rest of the album will be ot6 for K and ot4 for M .. Maybe DO or Baek's vocal gonna be in a nontitle track for M. They dont perform non title tracks usually. And for concerts EXO perform together anyway ... And Kai has enough lines ... really lol. Accourding to some translation I read on twitter it is said that since it's a full album it is going to be OT10 but if it's mini it's going to be M + K Click here to view the Tweet My point is just that if all songs are OT10 they will need to accomodate 4 more people in their non-title tracks and someone is bound to lose some parts. >.< For those who already have few lines like Kai, Sehun or Xiumin... I wonder how it'll go. For me it's also weird to think about OT6/OT4 — I mean, EXO-M lost their 2nd main vocal and their main rapper (although Tao is quite good, Xiumin isn't fit yet as a lead rapper...) —, but apparently they plan on continuing with EXO-K/EXO-M division. I wonder how it'll go... I've been noticing they've been somewhat getting Kyungsoo closer to M... Isn't he going to take part in a Chinese show next year os something like that? But Kyungsoo is very important for K. He has a big fandom in Korea and has an acting career. I dont know how he can go on with promoting in Korea/China. He will be more exhausted while Sehun has no individual actvities so he can be in M&K and he is popular in the cfandom. But the vocals .... I think Kyungsoo was closer to M recently cuz he was Luhan's counterpart. Its easier to get him Luhan's parts Cant wait for next comeback aaaaaaah Didnt they photoshop Sehun over Luhan in the newest M add? I think its gonna be Sehun, but Sehun isnt a singer, so in that case Lay will get more lines (except for Chen, he is the best singer in M after all) But wouldn't that be a little bit... pointless? Don't get me wrong, I love Sehunnie, but he can't cover neither Kris' parts nor Luhan's. Lay could do Luhan's, but singing live his voice isn't quite stable yet, although he's been working on it, considering his development... To me either Kyungsoo/Baekhyun/Suho could be a double member, but it seems Kyungsoo is the one that has been getting more involved with Chinese activities. As M A M A said, it could be because he's Luhan counterpart though... i also think it would be crazy to make Kyungsoo do it, since he plans to continue with his acting career, but who knows... I LOOOOOOOOOVE EXO and especially EXO-M. (I still find it a bit weird that you have separate K and M threads) I am 110% a XiuChenHan shipper. Those three boys (ok and ChanSoo too) are the reason I fell in love with EXO. I admit I avoided EXO for a really long time because some of the extreme EXOtics at the time really bothered me but I completely regret it now and have been a fan for over a year. I regret not getting as much time with the boys as I possibly could while we were still OT12. It was the day I got my Overdose album and pulled Kris' card that the news about his departure came out. I was heartbroken for a long time but I never once stopped loving EXO. I will never stop loving EXO. I find that our boys and our fandom seems to get more hate than most. I don't know how EXO became the popular punching bag. Sometimes I get too sensitive about it. I collect EXO albums and photocards. Atm I have 68/82 photocards. My favorite song is probably Let Out the Beast or Peter Pan. I look forward to supporting them together with you guys in the future! Welcome to this thread too I'm curious... How do you get so many photocards? o.o I see where you're going, but Sehun is pretty popular in China (the most popular K member in China) and he could cover Kris' parts imho. Not that both Kris and Sehun are great rappers to begin with, but Sehun was pretty decent when Exo covered Shinee. Kyungsoo is doing great in Korea rn, i just dont see a point in giving him more chinese activities instead of focusing on a korean market where he could do (and earn) much more. Sehun barely has any activity outside the group (...welp), so that might be another reason to use him in M. Idek anymore, time will tell. Maybe they could let Tao do Kris' parts and Sehun do Tao's... It's possible. Sehun still needs to work a lot on his rapping, but if Tao helps him... TaoHun would truly be inseparable then Gosh, now I'm really interested to see how this will develop. I didn't even know there were chibi photocards, THEY'RE SO CUTE Am I the only one here thats been their fan since predebut? How did you guys become Exo fans? Sometimes it feels like most people started stanning them after Growl, and older fans left for new groups. I remember subscribing to SM YT channel to keep myself updated on Shinee, and then Kai's teaser showed up, and "She is my laaadieh" and i got hooked up immediately on DO's honey voice. I got into kpop in the beginning of last year, so although EXO was one of the first groups I started to like, they were already finishing with MAMA promotions by then. I'm so frustrated, because they looked hot as hell during MAMA and I love most of their songs from the Mini-Album, but when I really started following their activities they were already preparing for Wolf, so... <//3 But teasers pictures are still some of the best pictures of them to me EXOs fandom is based on individual stans. There are group stans but overshadowed by individual stans. And about cfans and stans who left when Krishan left, they were individual stans anyway. My bias left, I leave. K is way overworked than M now. Cuz M cant perform with only 4 for songs who were for 6 members. EXOM will face alot of hardships in China. I heard they have alot of Antis in China now :( Lol. I love them all too. And yeah EXOs discography is nearly flawless. I love R&B and they have alot of R&B so I am pleased ... That's what I heard too. Maybe in the future comeback, they'll be back as EXO-K & EXO-M 5:5 format members since both EXO members & fans are ready for the possibility transferring members. That's just my own pov, not a fact My guess is same as yours: albums will be same style as MiD. But if they split 5:5 who do you think will migrate to M? This is my fav set of hers because they are transparent and have their MAMA symbols on them. I agree they looked so stinkin good in MAMA. I especially had a thing for Chanyeol and Baekhyun back then haha. Frizzy puppy and eyeliner puppy were so sexy. They're really really cute OMG Baek looked SOOO GOOD back in eyeliner days Their outfits were also great looking. I agree with @MAMA about individual stan, many of us just stan a member or ship/s, not exo as whole. Some people said too me how can I still stan exo even after the shitstorm, I think again and it's because I stan chanyeol, I followed the group as whole on variety, performance etc, but that's it. I just can't bring myself to like all of them personally. Some fans who left this fandom maybe the one who stan the whole exo or esp M stans. Exo are always on the edge this year, probably they're too tired to deal with another member departure and whatnot. I will come to this thread often from now on, whether to be a lurker or join the dissc. Hope you guys will update many comeback stuffs. Nice discussion btw Welcome! The only ones I can't really like same as others are Suho and Tao. Nothing personal, they're both cute and sweet, but I don't know, there's no connection I stan Chen more than others, but I like them as a whole. It's okay - EXO's comeback is legit in January? If so, I don't think I'll be available on time since my finals will be held on that month The date isn't certain yet. Before Luhan left, TaoLay was seen going to a studio days before. So I'll say they got luhan parts. A lot of people wanted to see Tao sing so I think this will give Tao chances to sing and rap. And regarding a member moving to M, i don't think it'll happen. I think many have said it before, that rapping in chinese is incredibly hard and sehun doesn't even rap perfectly for korean yet. Even then Tao is known to be able to use diff word alternatives to make his raps smooth, so sehun would be way behind in this aspect too. I really doubt they'd add kyungsoo either because he's second vocalist in K and he has too many commitments in korea. If he was like Siwon, who has to act in china many times, then I'd understand, but he'd be too exhausted with the flying. Plus K and M are meant to be seperate so they can promote without exhaustion. Having a double member would be a stupid solution so DO can't be a double member or rep luhan. Most of all, i think a lot of fans underestimate M. We haven't seen OT4 perform alone except in concert. We don't know if they're better or worse. But if we look at dbsk, jyj and tvxq survived and became stronger. So imo, i believe they're better as OT4 because they'll learn to work harder and they've been through the pain of losing a member more than once (it's diff for K, they don't live with them 24/7). And people also underestimate Xiumin talents, we haven't seen SM putting him in the spotlight. I'm really curious on his appearance in Generation Show...I wanna see his improvement in vocal, chinese and being in a variety show. It's not about underestimating any sub/members, but mostly coz the EXO Concept is twin/mirror. so, it'll be the best if they have 5:5 formation, coz if it's 6:4, tho M will have no problem with that (singing & performing), but, it will make the choreo kinda missing and lacks. I think SM might do sjm situation tho. Add 2 new members that help M in China only...but korea would stay exo. I truly wasn't expecting it, since public voting was only 20% of the choice (or something like that)... This is so amazing... Chen's face when they won Artist of The Year... Now on a change of subject, the comeback! After this MAMA being so special to EXO-L and LAY'S SLAYING SPEECH (he secured his place as my 2nd bias after this), I got even more excited about their comeback. The teaser is so exciting The marbles inside the maze truly seem like a "hint" though... Plus, have you seen this? Somebody connected the dots...Maybe this is just SM being morons (I wouldn't doubt it), but... Well, it does seem a little weird. In the 2 - one of the dots isn't connected; there are so thirsty when will they let go. It's fine to support all 12, but what is the point of clinging onto something that is not going to happen. I agree. It's pointless thinking Kris and Luhan might come back. What I was thinking was rather... Maybe new members? From one point of point, it may be suicidal.... All rumors about members leaving turned out to be true He been sad for a while, and I dont like that at all Eventhough after everything that has happened this year, I'm really doubting this rumor. I always thought Tao would probably be the last one to leave EXO. Ofc we never know, but just judging by everything he says and posts on his weibo... also like another user has said in that thread, would Lay be able to make a speech like that when they won the MAMA's. If anything, I believe around the time when Luhan decided to leave, they must have had this conversation or at least thought about it: leave now together with Luhan, or stay. I'm sure Lay and Tao thought it about it and they stuck around. Anyways as of now, I don't believe it till legit recipients. This. Plus, OP on the other thread uploaded with speculation that Tao's IG update is a subtle dissmissal of the rumor. I don't know why SM doesn't speak up about it — maybe they want the free marketing, people talking and freaking out about EXO, who knows... Honestly, after Lay's speech and this post of Tao on IG, unless something REALLY terrible has happened within SM, I don't believe they'd leave. With all the other rumors that turned out to be true, of course we need to be cautious, but it could well be someone trying to cause some comotion (and being successful at it). For Korean members, I feel all of them are pretty strained/unhappy, specially Baek and Kai... But I don't think Kai would ever leave SM (not for loyalty or anything like that, but for career options), and as for Baek... I think he really wants to be a professional singer, and leaving SM would severely undermine his career in Korea, so... Very unlikely. D.O. has been being well managed, at least from what it seems to me, and he seems like someone that deals well with pressure/stress, so I'd also rule him out. Suho hasn't trained 7 years for leaving now. Sehun... Well, what is he going to do if he leaves EXO, honestly... Unless he aims for a normal life, it would also be suicidal for him to leave. Chen is pretty loyal to the group. Chanyeol... Well, there's the possibility. But he doesn't seem too stressed out to me. All in all, I'd say this is an ill-intended rumor. Tbh, I find it scary how some fans are still so angry at this. I thought the situation would be more peaceful by now... And we never saw them interacted with each other so a lot of fans think they are over now. I don't know if it's SM who told them to act this way but it wasn't a good policy Well, there is even speculation that they were never together to begin with... Like it was a cover up for Kris leaving. Honestly, this whole story is a mess. Maybe it truly is better that they keep their relationships private. That shouldn't be a problem and idealistically companies shouldn't encourage that sort of crazy behavior at the fandom, but considering companies don't have the smallest intention of stopping sasaeng/crazy fans, since they bring in so much money by buying merchandising and stuff, I don't think there's any optimistic perspective for idols revealing their relationships, specially when they're still quite young as a group. Maybe when they're an older group, the fandom will have matured along with them a bit and it will be easier... It works better than I expected, honestly. I think this will work Only Lay in the beginning of Growl sounded a tad bit weird, but I think he can work on that. So naturally I should get Global since I don't know Chinese right? but the box and everything for Chinese looks soooo good ;A; Do you guys know anything about what the differences actually are? Global <- -> China I think last year and this year I got the Global Version, but if I'm not mistaken there's not really a huge difference. I mean, as we can see the photos are different and the schedule's colors and small things like that, but I'm pretty sure the calendars won't change much — even if it's officially the "Chinese version", they try to make it as neutral as possible, put numbers instead of names (for the months, for example) or even write it in English, and they usually write the members' name in the romanized version. So it's really up to which photos you like better There's one difference, though — they usually underline or mark holidays on the calendar in different colors and stuff. So, if you buy the Chinese version, it may come with Chinese holiday days marked on it. I don't think it matters much though. One of the versions I bought came with Korean holidays marked on it and it was even interesting to see.
