So many sageuks have been boring and sucky lately. Surprisingly, Empress Ki, even with its controversy is one of the strongest in a long time. The final fight between Woo Chi and that other guy was so ridiculous, you have to watch it if you want a good laugh. I tend to like fusion sageuks more than straight up historical dramas. My favorites are Arang and the Magistrate and Queen In Hyun's Man. Others I've watched: Painter of the Wind Princess' Man Bridal Mask Joseon X-Files Tamna the Island The Return of Iljimae (dropped) Jang Ok Jeong (dropped after people told me it got bad) Sword and Petal (same as JOJ) Faith (dropped) Ohh and Lights and Shadows. LOL. CTH is one of amazing top tri-comedy actors (I watch his movies and stuff), but since KDW already did a version, the expectation was hard to beat. For me, it's always KDW > CTH. And god Won Bin > KDW > CTH. I could really say that many hated (and dropped) Faith. I understand the cons are very subtle: story became too focused on politics and became so draggy.
