As we wind down to the final episode, we move on to the group thread instead of here jCQ9zCm.png

YAS ahmagahplz.png

Looks like Youngjoo, Yukika and Yeeun are part of the MIXNINE show

EDIT: And Sori?

I was just going through the Trailer and spotted Yukika at 00:50, but I can't make a screen cap at the moment. Seriously, RGP taking over these shows fyeahplz.png

Edit:

Yukika - 110

Yeeun - 111

Youngjoo - 200

Sori - 191? (Does she have pink streaks in her hair now?)

I can't believe this show is almost over warstarplz.png It feels like only yesterday that I started watching. I had no idea how much I'd get invested in the characters and the whole project. It's been a wild ride rlytearpls.png

I've been doing more backtracking and it interesting reading everyone's theories on Haseo's backstory knowing what it turned out to be.

Ep. 21:

Wow, this was a big one. I totally didn't expect them to reveal everything about Suah's death. It's like, THIS IS HAPPENING!!! So now we know. I just wish they had been a little clearer about how the surgery would effect her. Suah was behaving like it could be the end of her career, but they never said the surgery would effect her singing or ability to perform. I guess she was just being paranoid because of the way the Kpop industry is. She expected to be forgotten if she was out of the spotlight too long and fans moved on to new groups.

The only thing I didn't really like was how all the girls jumped on Suji and Kang because of the scandal. Did they not learn anything about the Jiwon incident? They expected the worst of her and she turned out to be innocent. They won't give Suji and Kang the benefit of the doubt? And Youngjoo being Youngjoo again. After everything she's been through with Suji, you'd think she'd be a little more understanding. At least Sori tried to stand up for them.

All that being said, I understand Kang wanting to keep Suah's illness private, but he should have given the girls something. At least explain Suji wasn't feeling well and she didn't want the others to see her like that so they sat in Kang's car until she felt better.

My thoughts of 12 and some more...

Youngjoo's redemption has started...  personally, I think it's more realistic this way...  Whether we learn from our journey to realisation or not will determine just who we will become...

Taeri's missing is a red herring...  likely they both went somewhere to talk... how about the roof?  I suspect that Youngjoo takes a further step towards redemption in the next episode...

On mission 3, I would have liked to see more however I can understand the reasons behind not showing more of it... which is a pity...

I know some of you have been going on about Suji and P having possible romantic overtones, I'm simply not seeing it as the story moves along,  what I see is a big-brother type relationship with some mixture of guilt in it...  but then let's wait and see...

I'm still waiting for Jeewon, we're in episode 12 and still no sign of her save for some cameo performances, we should be seeing her soon as Youngjoo is redeemed...

So, only 8 more episodes to go... and at least a week to wait before we can see the next episode...

Anyone watching IDOL SCHOOL?  (I want to watch it but am scared I'll get pulled into it like PD101...)

Simpletons out...

And old post, but after watching ep. 21

I definitely get the big brother vibe in regards to Kang and Suji. He also feels a responsibility towards her since he blames himself for Suah's death. However, it's possible he may have had feelings for Suah, but it's still hard to tell.

I don't think it's seizures because otherwise it would've made it really difficult to perform and odds are she would've gotten one when she was on stage sooner or later but she never did (anyone see that video of a backup dancer that got a seizure on stage?). I still think it's depression. Quote me on this

My curiosity lies with what the plans will be after the show is over. IMX has talked about keeping the show alive but what does that mean? One aspect definitely involves global broadcast rights and which networks will pick up the show once the Amazon Prime stranglehold ends this week. I expect Vix/Dramafever to pick up a license but who else? Does Bandai-Namco want to try to get the show dubbed on Japanese TV? Is IMX going to try to get SEA? I'll be curious to see what happens.

What happens with the group? IMX states that RGP will promote after the show but how? Will they promote heavily in Japan and try to gain a small yet profitable fanbase there? Will they continue to promote as a Korean group? They have plenty of options. Most of the members have joined The Unit/MIXNINE but I did notice that RGP still appears to be a 10 member group.

I don't know if the Korean ratings were ever a big focus on IMX/Banco. It was on low-watched 3 cable channels so I would be surprised if any episode hit .5. I think their end game is aftershow promotions.

I'm hoping that we'll get a DVD/BluRay release with tons of extras. This is one of those shows where I'd love to pop in a random episode every now and then. I'd hate to have to pay a sub everything I get the urge to watch it. At least there's tons of clips on the official YouTube channel.

not really related but

If memory serves me right, the reconciliation of Jeewon & Yeeun wasn't actually revealed to the others. They made up in the bus alone. It's as if them not glaring at each other was normal to the others. No "When did you two made up?" "You're friends again?" "What's happening here?" nobody was surprised. And the way I see it, only Sori understood Jeewon's motive.

If there was a scene like that please remind me 0u0plz.png

I suspect it was more implied then anything, for instance, the debut team's video, Sori and Jeewon did glance at each other before the Jeewon / Jane scene, when Jeewon apologised to Jane, there were shots of Suji glancing at Yeeun...  When they were telling Ghost Stories and Yeeun left first with Jeewon following thereafter...  Also, when PD Nim arrives at the camp and after telling Suji about her sister's sickness, they return to the camp to sit around a fire, Yeeun was sitting next to Jeewon...  It's all implied I suppose...  I suspect it would have been too cheesy to have had a cut of them telling the rest of the girls that they had made up...

Yeah, their reconciliation was more implied than anything. There was no big announcement/feel good moment with the other girls. I also think only Sori knew the significance of the hair pin, so even if the rest of the Trainees saw Yeeun wearing it, they wouldn't know that it meant anything.

I think someone mentioned in this forum a while back that a second series could be about boy idols. Although that’s not strictly in The Idolmaster tradition, it’s quite a cool idea. As Kpop is generally so separate between girls and boys, it would interesting to see what issues affect boys.

If there was going to be a second season soon, I think it would have already been announced. Still, we can hope that maybe there’s a surprise in store on that front. By the way, I once thought the last episode might be them debuting as characters that very week on Inkigayo in a sort-of simulcast, like immediately following it or something. And singing “I Must Goâ€. Imagine that! I feel dizzy thinking about it.

I can't remember what the title was called, but they released a game with a male character who was training to be an Idol who dressed up as a girl.

The new pd probably got rid of her imstupid.png

Most likely laugh.png I was really looking forward to Mari's story.

Should have been Bomi's Cat!

It took me 2 damn minutes to figure out who the hell Mari was. And another 2 freaking minutes to wrap my head around the fact that he wasn’t a girl but a boy all along. Damn cat playing us like this lol

Wait....she's a he?? He looks too feminine. Well it's 2017,I guess he can look girly if he wants to. XD His role represents the strikes that go on in K-entertainment. He has the right to demand his feline rights. #justiceformari2017

Mari is a feminine name too, so I assumed the cat was a she until Shim kept saying "he". Unless whoever did the subs got the gender completely mixed up.

Finished Ep. 23. Only one left! I'm not ready warstarplz.png

Ep. 22

Wow, Haseo has the meanest Grandpa ever! They made it so easy to hate him. When the girls came to protest Haseo's imprisonment, I got goose bumps. It was the first time all of them danced together since the second episode! And we got Shim's backstory just like that.

Ep. 23

Loved Suji and Youngjoo's revelation that they should be teammates. About time! And the scene with Suji dancing by herself was awesome.

I totally didn't expect them to reveal that all 10 members would debut in this episode. I thought it would be something they'd save for the finale. I have to admit, I almost cried when Suji put in the flash drive and played the video with all of them in it. I new the reveal had to be coming, but I wasn't prepared rlytearpls.png I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling nostalgic seeing the old promo photos of the cast.

I guess the final episode is going to revolve around RGP winning over the fans and Kang being absolved and returning to 825.
