I'm pretty sure that there's been some kind of misunderstanding or mistranslation, though. I'm guessing that 200 million is the amount of people that can access the channel, or that there were 200 thousand people that watched. The article also mentions other Korean stars like Miss A, Epik High, Five Dolls, Rainbow, BoA (I think), Crayon Pop and Clara. Even then, the number is really number of people tuning in within the hour, so even if are just changing the channel, you will count as 1 view. I would say T-ara has a decent fanbase in China but from what i have seen (compared to other groups), it's more around mid-tier...maybe during the Bo Beep days they were a bit more well-recognized... I think the highest-rated show was the singing competition Super Girls, which got 400 million views in one episode. I don't know if that record has been broken yet though. If it's the Chinese article I read, I assume it's just a self-boasting press release of some sort from the show. It talks about how the show's rep say it reached 200,000,000 viewers. How the show reflects T-ara's cute side. How this show recently aired interviews of Lee Jongsuk, BoA, Miss A, Epik High...etc, introducing to Chinese fans the Hallyu wave. Aside from T-ara, it also intereviewed Dal Shabet, SPICA, Kahi...etc. The show aims to be a top Asian idol talk show. Basically that.
