as a fan of kpop myself it would be unfair to just judge people by talent/skills imho. that means a huge amount of current k-pop superstars don't deserve their position because there are definitely more skilled and good looking than they are.

 

people like to cry unfair when there are personalities that simply have strong mass appeal but imho, this is a factor that is more important than looks and talent imho. it's either you are backed by a company with a genius PR machinery or you have that natural mass appeal. the latter is actually more difficult because that's usually inborn - pr machinery is doable, skills can be honed, looks can be modified but appeal is inherent, hence the most difficult.

 

that's just my 2 cents tho.
