I'm pretty sure Prince has fans in asia/south korea and there has to be at least be ONE idol who knows him and is a big fan. So who will it be? And if no one, what group do you think will do best if they did a tribute performance?

Probably not. There were a couple of idols who knew him and posted about him. But like...maybe sketchbook. If not i could see a couple of them posting on youtube or something. And no offense...but keep a lot of these idols away from Prince

why?

Prince was a genius, a great singer who could play more than twenty music instruments and has written and composed great songs also for other great singers (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3553601/Prince-famous-ghostwriting-14-songs-didn-t-know-Prince-penned-gave-away-artists.html), so I will like a tribute performance with singers who loved and respected him... For example, he was one of the idols of SHINee Jonghyun and he has often spoken about him in Blue Night, even when he made his debut as a soloist with BASE (http://fyjjong.tumblr.com/post/143185197273/fyjjong-blue-night-radio-150119-jonghyun), so I think he would be happy to take part of a tribute performance in his memory...

No, Prince was not big in SK. I didn't even know him until now and I'm from Europe.

Its surprising you didn't know him and you're from Europe. The artist did stop singing for a while, but what I think Prince did that did a disservice to him was not allowing his music videos and songs on YouTube. Many people discover artist through it, Prince fought against technology and it went against him sadly.

RIP,

But i dont him/she  :rlytearpls:

Prince was a male artist that had 39 albums, an Oscar, and 7 Grammy's, and a golden globe award. He is most known for the single and movie "Purple Rain."  There are a lot of amazing artist that happened before our time get to know them.

Umh When was his last big hit?

Mainstream as in internationally known. There is a difference between a one hit wonder mainstream artist and a person with a collective body of work who is respected by artist and audiences alike and was considered an icon.

Am not against his lagacy just pointing out the people Pretending they know him after he died. This guy was irrelevant for almost two decades.I know he is respected among musicians but lets be honest half of the people calling him the greatest musician/performer dont realy know him :/

Well if you believe that everyone is pretending, at the end of the day, it's called having some empathy. And just because he wasn't active for 20 years doesn't mean he's irrelevant lmao what?

You must have no interest in music at all if you have never heard of him or being super young . I don't think is important at all when your last big hit was when your music has had such impact in the gp and in other artists . So I'm sure many Idols knew who he was tho they weren't fans .

A lot of people knew who Prince was and considered him a legend even before his passing. I'm not sure why you are acting like people didn't know him or pretending nevertheless. Just because you didn't doesn't mean they didn't. The guy was well know and it doesn't matter how long its been since his last big hit. He had timeless music that can be bopped to now.  You act like people shouldn't know who he is because their young..their parents introduced them to it.
