SHINee members behind the scenes

the bit about key got me the most, idk i'm probably biased but maybe because he is usually perceived as bitchy and an ass and self centered, except not at all, i mean yes he is bossy and yes he can be blunt but he cares so much about shinee, about the members, at least that is what i see and i think most people see it when they pay close enough attention and there is something very reassuring in hearing it from someone that is watching closer than i or any fan would ever

tbh, with key, i think it's more he changed over the years. he was frankly a lot more competitive and "bitchy" early on when they first debut. he himself had said he wanted to be 1st, even among the members, would get jealous if other members received the limelight, and would be royally upset if things don't happen the way he wants them to be. i mean, it's understandable considering the trainee lifestyle must have been highly pressurized and competitive.

over the years, he's soften a lot more, started caring more about shinee and the other members than about himself as he used to, become more appreciative and a lot more easy-going. he became a lot more encouraging nowadays to the other members. tbh, now, i think he's probably the most emotionally attached to shinee and the one who treasures ot5 the most. i'm sure this part of him was always there, but in the early years, he definitely was a lot more competitive and head-strong.

I agree that they all are maturing (not just key) and their relationship with each other changed for the better over time.

They do say that all five of them have strong characters/personalities and if I remember correctly they said that each member have a specific area that they are competitive about and would get jealous over. For example for key it is about outfit, for taemin it's about singing lines (probably onew and jonghyun too) and for minho it's about rap lines. I think the misfortunes that happened to them (jonghyun's accident, onew's neck accident and throat surgery) make them treasure each other more. Maybe it's the thought of "i could wake up tomorrow and this person wouldn't be in my life anymore".

Because it's from 2013 (or late 2012) that I started to notice the change in their dynamics. In key's case not only he cares more towards the members it's also that the members reciprocate and allow key to care for them. Most notably about their individual fashion, onew said that key helps him a lot to be more stylish. Key probably helped jjong too since jonghyun is so familiar with key's wardrobe to the point that he knows exactly the amount of items in key's closet. Jonghyun and taemin push each other to go forward with solo albums, jonghyun write for taemin's album and he's so supportive we called him president of taemin's fanclub. Onew and taemin help key a lot with his musical projects. And minho never forget to give support by attending each members solo activities. Members also said that Minho listens well to their problems, a comfortable friend to confide in. That's just the tip of the iceberg that we saw from various interviews and their interactions captured by camera (on tv, bts or fancams).

I'm just grateful that all the happenings in their life brought them to this point where all members decide they want to make the relationship work and stay together. I hope they will be happy together as five, still releasing good music as shinee for a long time even if they already successful individually.

(I put the spoiler because tl;dr)
