If SMENT didn't go by age…

…would each group's leader still be the leader or do you feel there is someone else in the group who fits the leader role better?

For me:

f(x) - Luna (as much as I love VicOmma, I've always felt like Luna exuded everything about f(x) the best)

Red Velvet - Wendy [i swear, Wendy was born to lead. She usually takes the lead when it comes to interviews and promo talk (and line distribution for their Velvet songs)]

Can't do the boy groups since I haven't really paid that close of attention. What are your thoughts?

Tiffany's already the leader, positions be damned.

Yunho was already the leader of DB5K

f(x) is fine by age.

SHINee is fine by age. If not Onew, then Key.

Red Velvet is fine by age. If not, maybe Seulgi.

It's not always by age. Sm most probably know about them more than us so yea.

Yunho and Suho are already Leader even though they are not oldest.  SUJU, SNSD, SHINee and RV are fine as they are.

I think leader should be someone who takes care of member, knows what to do, most imp be mature, instead of someone who searches for spotlight and talks a lot. (Just cause someone can talk in shows and interview doesn't mean they can lead the group).

but he was the oldest in Exo-K

and SM completely swerved Kris when Exo K and M merged

Yes he was the oldest in EXO K, but Kris wasn't in EXO M Xiumin and Luhan are older than him. And right now I don't really think there is any K or M. They have been promoting as EXO for 2 years already. So yea.

But the way you're describing them is as a caretaker… I wouldn't really call that leading. I find a leader should be a representative of the group, not just someone who is the most mature. Yes, they've "bred" their selected leaders into being sort of a "parent" to their group mates, but, in the end, they're still a product of the music business and while Victoria, Suho, and Onew are exceptions, the others don't seem to have that sort of businesslike mindset yet. They don't really strive to push their brand like the other leaders in K-Pop do.

More or less, you can always see a sort of radiance around the one with the most confidence and aggression to be a successful leader: that's what I usually feel in my choices, but it shouldn't be a debate on whether the viewpoint is dissimilar to each of us. Just a discussion on who you feel best represents the leader role (if not the given leader).

i found luna was better for leader, too, before i discover Shits The Queen's say and 'done' for the members. idk non f(ans) maybe wont see and feel it but i, we do.

even though i still dont understand the real, definit function of a leader cos theyre not all the same; i like suho, leader of exo, and i think he is leader because members can, 'depend' on him (someone pls post that gif where theyre interviewed and ALL turned their head at him) yet i dont think he's the most mature (but i dont know cos i dont rlly follow the group)
