Oliver 22,442
JYP - one of the things I admire about JYP is that he got to where he is by his hard work.. even tho everyone kept telling him no he went out and made a name for himself and rose to be one of the richest kpop stars ever.. He truly is a musical legend Lee Hyori - Arguably the biggest girl group idol ever! Incredible group career and a big successful solo career G Dragon - Arguably the biggest kpop idol of this generation moral of this thread.. Shit happens.. they still keep going

HugeBoi Minos Wife 40,568
JYP went on Weekly idol and said that he failed at an SM audition 24 years ago.. Well damn, JYP at SM seems so strange lol he was actually better off having his own career and company. GD was never an SM trainee - this is like a kpop myth lol... he used to train at the company (he used their facilities) when he was legit still a fetus but he was never an official trainee, he joined YG when he was SUPER young He used to train but was never a trainee? He's actually debunked it himself in an interview, he would come to the company like once every 3 months and just dance around with the other kids, he was VERY young

End City 1,607
SM is still doing great though not to say JYP isn't. Looking at it now, a lot of great talent passes through the halls of SM. =)

footballfina 29,566
Also, between Hyori and BoA (who were rivals and promoted their biggest hits around the same time) I think SM would choose BoA's career EVERY. TIME. BoA gave kpop Japan and that's something no one, not even Hyori, can match *shrug*
ninedaysqueen 3,134
the people who leave SM and go to other companies generally don't have the image SM is looking for anyways. They often fit other agencies and style better, so often times it's for the best.
