UPDATE: Apparently it's already been disproved and Mystic89 (+ whoever manages Ji Hoon) is gonna sue the shit out of someone. We can all move along now. http://osen.mt.co.kr/article/G1110398298

Okay let's break this shit down in dot points:

  • What happened?

An alleged compromising picture of Ga-In and her long-time partner was leaked.

  • Do you care?

Personally, no, they can do what they want.

  • Is Joo Ji Hoon (allegedly) wrong for having those pictures?

If Ga-In was aware of them and consented to having them taken, no. Was it wise to have them? Also no, but it's not a misdeed in and of itself. 

  • What does this mean for their careers?

If it's not 100% disproved, Joo Ji Hoon will be fine. He's a male, he's famous, Korean netizens won't care. Ga-In on the other hand, will suffer a lot of hate - HOWEVER - I do not think this will ruin her career. Why? Brown Eyed Girls' demographic is significantly different to most girl groups - it's older, they have more female fans, they make adult contemporary music - this considered, I don't think Brown Eyed Girls' career will be significantly jeopardised. What does worry me though is Ga-In's mental health; from what we know about her, she's a very emotional person, and I'm concerned about what effect the ruthless bandwagon hate will have on her. Luckily she doesn't have a Twitter, she'll likely shut down her Instagram account. 

  • What do you think about the issue at large?

I think the reaction we're going to see to this scandal will say a lot about the Korean music industry (and, more specifically, fans thereof). I don't think the leaking of the picture is indicative of any issues that aren't also present in the American music industry, but the way in which Korean netizens respond will likely say a lot about the state of K-pop fandom.
