I only really keep up with The Bold & the Beautiful these days but I catch an episode of The Young & the Restless every now again if I have nothing else better to do. ...... 3,962 Posted November 16, 2013 Share Posted November 16, 2013 my mother loves them...... i grew up second hand semi-watching as a result....like i know all the big ones in US and UK..... but....if there was one i occasionally watched on my own...it was Passions. My mother didn't watch that one, but I kind of liked it. tbh, the issue i have with soap operas, is that they have all been on for ages....some even date(d) back to radio....I can't invest in watching a series of any kind, unless i've seen the series in entirety.... Like i have to have seen the series up to the point it's airing...so I could just never seriously get into soaps...but i understand why they are so addicting...they are ridiculous, but they do pull you in a bit.I'd say, i've seen the most episodes of Guiding Light, As The World Turns and B&tB. Guiding Light and As The World Turns were my mother's fave i think, my entire life. I was sad for her when they ended, because she had followed them since she was a child. She's also an avid follower of B&tB for as long as i've been alive...so at least she still has that...plus I think she does watch Days of Our Lives....
