Girl’s Day’s agency has responded to a recent report about the group’s future plans.

On January 11, SPOTV News reported that Girl’s Day members are currently looking to sign with new agencies as their contracts with Dream T Entertainment will be expiring soon. A source from the music industry said, “The members are hoping to work as actresses. They are getting in contact with agencies that manage actors, not singers. Instead of looking altogether, the members are searching individually.â€

In response, Dream T Entertainment said, “Sojin’s contract will expire in March. However, there is still some time left in other members’ contracts.â€

They continued, “We are currently discussing the future plans of Girl’s Day. We do not have an exact answer to give you at the moment.â€

Girl’s Day made their debut in 2010 and renewed their contracts with Dream T Entertainment in 2017. All members are currently actively promoting as actresses.

Following reports about Girl’s Day members’ contracts coming to an end, Dream T Entertainment has released an official statement regarding Sojin’s contract and the group’s future.

Dream T’s statement can be read below:

Hello, this is Dream T Entertainment. We are relaying our official statement regarding the reports related to Girl’s Day today.

Sojin’s exclusive contract with Dream T Entertainment is expiring in February 2019 and the decision to not renew was made.

The remaining members (Yura, Minah, Hyeri) also have contracts expiring this year, so they are in discussion with the company in many ways.

There is no intention to disband Girl’s Day’s group activities. We are seeking ways for the group to do activities together in the future.

We ask for a lot of support so that all of the members can be more active and branch out into diverse activities.

Thank you.

All 4 members of Girl's Day reportedly going separate ways after contract expirations with Dream T Ent.

According to reports on January 11, all 4 members of Girl's Day will allegedly separate ways after the expiration of their contracts with Dream T Entertainment.

Previously, Girl's Day label confirmed that leader Sojin has decided not to renew her contract come this February, but denied that the group would disband. Industry insiders say that Hyeri's contract is set to expire in early August, while Yura and Minah's contracts are set to expire in September. Neither Hyeri, Yura, nor Minah plan to renew with Dream T; all 4 members will be seeking new, acting management labels, if insider claims are true.

Girl's Day debuted back in 2010 with their 1st mini album 'Girl's Day Party #1', going on 9 years in 2019. While each of the 4 members may be seeking new opportunities with other management labels now, insiders say that the girls still share a very strong bond.

On January 11th, a representative of Dream T Entertainment, the company of Girls Day, confirmed that it is very likely that the girlgroup will have one last Comeback as a full group before member Sojin leaves the company!
Since the oldest member still has 2 months on her contract, it was revealed that the possibility for a Comeback is very high and that recording could easily be finished so that there is enough promotion time left.
So it seems that their fans don't need to worry, as he also stated that the members and the company have no intention of disbanding the group and that especially the members expressed their will to continue as Girls Day even if they aren't in the same company anymore.
